Our favourite NFL cheer team is back with Season 3 of America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. This season, the stakes for the 2025-26 squad are higher than ever — with only six open spots, the women of the DCC must face challenges and public scrutiny like never before. The trailer for Season 3 just dropped, so here’s what we know so far:

What happened in Season 2?

The last season chronicled the journey of the 2024-25 DCC squad as they navigated mental health struggles and gruelling training. The season was rife with emotional points — recall the heartfelt moment when DCC alum Victoria Kalina returned for a cameo — and victorious scenes, like the comeback of Kelly V and Charly, who were both cut from Season 1.

The most powerful arc from Season 2 had to be the team’s effort for pay equity. Throughout the season, the cheerleaders remained united in their fight for dancer compensation, resulting in the team receiving a staggering 400% pay increase. In the second season, the women of the DCC proved that “American Sweethearts” is a story about resilience and dedication, not just cheer.

What can we expect in Season 3?

Expect to see senior director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell back in action, guiding the 2025 DCC cheer squad through a riveting trial of auditions, training camp and the NFL football season.

While there is not yet an official cast list for Season 3, several veteran cheerleaders will be returning. That list includes rookie Jenna Waller, who was cut from Season 2, and veterans Madie Krueger, Charly Barby, Kelly Villares, Abby Summers, Reece Weaver, and Megan McElaney.

DCC veterans Armani Latimer, Jada Mclean, Amanda Howard, and Chandi Dayle announced their retirement during uniform returns in Season 2 and are not expected to return for Season 3.
