The festivities are over and it’s probably one of the dreariest months of the year. We’re back to work, doing Dry Jan and it’s grey and cold, but it’s nothing a bit of retail therapy can’t fix.

We’re in dire need of some happy fashion, let’s be honest. Sequins and sparkle are hidden away for another year and we’re wondering what on earth to wear to combat a month of bad weather and bad moods. Fortunately, colour therapy is an actual thing and we’re firmly on board with dressing to uplift our mood and refresh our wardrobes.

It’s going to be a hard month, but we can make getting dressed easy. Pillar-box brights and fun prints are just what the doctor ordered and with colour able to influence a person’s mental state (blue sky, for example) we’re ready to swap out our greys for mood-boosting pieces. We hope our edit of fun fashion makes your January that little bit more bearable. Happy shopping, literally.

If your wardrobe is usually shy of colour, buy one key piece, like a bold coloured coat and layer over monochrome tailoring for the office, or pair a bold sweater with denim and chunky boots for off-duty dressing.

It was fashion’s favourite colour last year and is firmly staying put for 2022. Kelly green – Pantone’s official name – will have you front running with the style set and brighten up a dull day. This Ganni jacket is on my wishlist.
