Quintessential country house hotel, Beaverbrook, the glorious staycation haunt filing our social media feeds, has just launched what is set to be summer’s hottest (and most Instagrammable) dining experience.
The ‘Reach for the Sky’ Balloon Dining Experience takes al fresco dining to the next level, with six beautiful ruby and pink, vintage striped hot air balloons filling the hotel’s picturesque Italian gardens that sit right in front of the stately house. They are, for the moment, stationary so don’t expect to be flying over the Surrey Hills while you dine, but from looking at the pictures, it’s still set to be a magical experience that will fill the hole of many a lost summer holiday this year.
Beaverbrook are once again at the forefront of British travel, offering up style and substance by the bucket load.
In true Beaverbrook fashion, the dining experience isn’t set to be all style over substance, the food has long been a real pull for the hotel too. Diners will be seated in authentic wooden and wicker ‘baskets’ to get the feel of a real hot air balloon and get to tuck into the hotel’s delicious menu from the hotel’s Japanese Grill Yakiniku menu. Kicking off the gastronomic experience will be cocktails (the bartenders at Beaverbrook are second to none) and a selection of Japanese amuse-bouches, making way for fresh sushi and sashimi sharing plates, melt-in-the-mouth Wagyu beef from Kobe and Kyushu Island, Iberian pork and wild cured deer.
There will be vegetables to grill at your table and an adorable selection of fluffy, sweet puddings inspired by clouds. Plus, the dinners are available to non-hotel guests so whether you make a staycation of it and book a room or just have the most decadent date night out, it won’t be an experience easy to forget.
From Beaverbrook’s Christmas ice rink to the announcement of their soon-to-launch London townhouse hotel, the hotel’s incredible spa, stunning rooms, and now this, Beaverbrook are once again at the forefront of British travel, offering up style and substance by the bucket load. And given that’s all we’ve got right now, we can’t think of a better way to spend our great British summer holidays.
