Summer isn’t summer without delighting in a fruity cocktail, poolside. While we can’t promise the poolside part of this summery recipe (unless you’re popping on Amazon right now to buy an inflatable paddling pool for your balcony), we can promise you’ll be sipping on a cocktail in the sun without having to invest in multiple ingredients thanks to the canned cocktail.

No, we’re not talking about the sorry supermarket excuses for canned cocktails. Things have changed this year and the tinned tipple has been revived thanks to micro-distilleries and drinks companies seeing a huge hole in the market. Nowadays, canned cocktails are full of natural ingredients and flavours, and they aren’t so non-alcoholic that it’s pointless. Here are the best nine canned cocktails on the market right now.

Betty Booze

Betty Booze made its way onto the scene after Blake Lively‘s original bev brand, Betty Buzz was a smashing success. Her new endeavour with Betty Booze, aims to mix quality ingredients with quality drinks.

All of her recipes are original and homemade. Each cocktail’s unique and bright flavour profiles will leave you refreshed. Lively’s commitment to her brand truly shows through the products; we highly recommend the Sparkling Bourbon and Tequila.

Funkin Cocktails

It doesn’t get much funkier than a nitrogen-infused Strawberry Daiquiri

Funkin Cocktails have brought their 21 years worth of cocktail-making expertise to launch four nitrogen-infused cocktails in a can so that you can get a real cocktail experience while at home.

A summer isn’t a summer without enjoying a piña colada and Funkin’s latest nitro infused concoction brings its coconut, fruity flavour to centre focus and follows the authentic, simple ingredients that made the cocktail so loved today. One sip will transport you to the roots of its existence, Puerto Rico.

Edinburgh Gin

Whether you’re having it infused into a cocktail or playing it simple with a classic tonic and lime combo, gin is the ultimate summer drink. This summer, however, you’ll find us sipping on Edinburgh Gin’s rhubarb and ginger concoction. Using their classic Edinburgh Gin, the pretty can combines spring-crop rhubarb and oriental ginger to create a sweet-cum-spicy number. Their strawberry and pink peppercorn flavour is also one that’ll see you through the summer with its sharp taste.

The Drinks Bureau

The Drinks Bureau’s founders are Frankie Snobel and Nick Kirby, who sought to create ready-to-drink cocktails with incredible flavours; and they did just that. With Snobel’s award-winning mixing savvy and Kirby’s expert knowledge of manufacturing, these two really have made the perfect canned cocktail.

The combo of spice and bite in their Spicy Margarita will have you drinking a whole pack before the party even starts, and the punch of coffee in their Espresso Martini will make you the life of the after-party.

All Shook Up

One cocktail company that is ready to shake things up is All Shook Up.

Perhaps one of the more well-known cocktails in a tin, All Shook Up aims to bring you premium flavours at affordable prices. A favourite can of ours is the flamingo colada, a unique spin on the famous pina colada, removing the pineapple and combining natural coconut, grenadine and lime instead for a refreshing summer hit.

Moth

Moth was founded in order to allow conversations to flow over a nice, ready made cocktail, with the goal of allowing you to have a great drink anywhere you go.

They believe cocktails are for anyone and everyone, wherever, whenever.

Their Match and Taster Packs ensure that you have a wide range of options with a variety of flavours. Whether you want sweet and classic, with the Cosmopolitian or rich and smooth with the Negroni, you really can’t go wrong with any flavour in these packs— the only question is: which one are you drinking first?

Pimentae

Pimentae set out to rebrand tequila. Business founders Alice Parmiter and Wynter Karo saw the bad wrap that ‘shot culture’ has given the underrated liquor in the bar scene and wanted to change that. Having a love for the drink, when done properly, the two curated speciality mixed RTD canned cocktails.

There is nothing better than a good margarita, except a good spicy margarita. Pimentae’s Spicy Margarita Cans are the best blend of sweet and spicy, with chilli and agave. But if the heat isn’t your scene, try their Cucumber and Tommy Margarita Cans— they do not disappoint.
