We’ve Found Our New Favourite Autumn Brunch In London
We’re big fans of brunch here at The Handbook – who doesn’t love breakfast food paired with a cocktail? – and so we’re constantly on the lookout for new launches and menus to discover. The Wolseley City by the Tower of London, younger sister to the original Piccadilly site, recently launched its new weekend brunch menu, and we’re big fans. With fresh, seasonal dishes, sharing cocktails and even live jazz, it’s definitely one to check out as we move into Winter.

What to order
Available on Saturdays and Sundays, the new menu features a delicious series of dishes perfect for celebrating a special occasion, or just the weekend. Sample fluffy buttermilk pancakes served with your choice of toppings, from seasonal berries and crème fraiche to cured streaky bacon. For those looking for a more savoury option, you can opt for classics like eggs benedict, or avocado and poached eggs on toast.
On the drinks side, diners can discover a range of sharing cocktail pitchers including Mimosas, Wolseley Bloody Mary’s and French Rosé.

Why we love it
Quite simply, The Wolseley is a London restaurant institution. Everyone worth their salt has graced the dining room here, and the City branch is an even larger dining space complete with two private dining rooms and two bar spaces.
Keeping The Wolseley’s glamorous reputation alive, the space draws inspiration from the original architect of 160 Piccadilly, designed by William Curtis Green in 1921. With its art deco style reminiscent of the grand European cafés, it is one of the most strikingly beautiful dining rooms in London.

Alongside delicious dishes, wines and cocktails, guests will be able to embrace the melodies of a three-piece jazz band, performing on Sundays and bringing a touch of swing and relaxation to the elegant surroundings of the restaurant.
The Wolseley City weekend brunch runs every Sunday and Saturday and is available to book on their website.
