Camille Charriere’s style is so cool because it combines effortless French elegance with a playful London edge. The secret is in how she wears her clothes: with confidence, a sense of humour and very little regard for the rules. Here, Kitty, our Social Media Director, breaks down her style.
Camille makes fashion feel personal. Don’t follow the rules too closely: the aim is to wear clothes in a way that feels true to you. If a piece makes you feel great, style it your way.
Build outfits around layers so you can play with proportions, textures and volume. Try a fitted knit under a slouchy jacket, or a shirt under a slip dress. It’s also practical as we head into autumn and the weather starts to change.
Camille loves a party piece, but never saves it for a special occasion. Sequins and statement dresses can work for daytime too. Style them with a simple knit, a denim jacket or flat shoes to bring them back down to earth.
If your outfit feels very dressed up, add an unexpected casual element to make it feel cooler and less formal. Think trainers with an evening dress, or a sweatshirt with a sparkly skirt.
Prioritise healthy-looking skin and a simple makeup base, then add one playful detail when you want to experiment, whether that’s a bold lip or a flash of colour on the eyes.
