Christmas is the perfect opportunity to upgrade your workout wardrobe so we’ve handpicked the chicest pieces we could find, from the ultimate leggings to warm run wear, cool trainers to chic gym accessories. Time to start making some hints if you want to find a gym wear refresh under the tree this year.

There are so many brands doing workout wear well right now, from laid back L.A. label Varley to sustainable brand Pangaia, who do the best tracksuits we’ve found. There are also some sporty diffusion lines from the likes of Anine Bing, who’s athleisure pieces double up as great brunch looks / working from home comfies / school run essentials. As well, of course, the collab heavyweights, like Stella McCartney for Adidas and Victoria Beckham for Reebok.

Anine Bing’s sporty sweats give us ‘90s Princess Diana vibes. Pair with leggings, or cycling shorts in the summer, chunky ribbed American sports socks, trainers and a baseball cap.

Speaking of, we love the dull raspberry tone of VB’s Reebok stretch recycled sports bra. Designed in a seamless silhouette, it has a plunging V-neck, wide straps and an elasticated underband for comfort and support. Pair with Tory Sport’s Chevron printed Leggings in brown for a warmer alternative to the usual black.

For those who love to tread the pavements, check out M&S’s in-house active range GOODMOVE for some stylish yet super practical pieces. Their Thermal Funnel Neck Running Top would make a great gift for any outdoorsy people this festive season.

The tracksuit made a big comeback during lockdowns, naturally, but we’re pleased it’s here to stay for cosy WFH get-ups to laidback weekend looks. Top marks go to Réalisation’s bold green duo; Arket’s French Terry in baby blue (SO soft!); and Adidas’ Recycled-Scuba Sweatshirt in beige – the dense, bouncy fabric is made from 93% recycled fibres which gives the silhouette structure instead of drape – super flattering.

Pangaia is one of the most exciting brands to hit the wellness sector in recent years thanks to their sustainability credentials. The brand’s goal is to design an earth-positive business model where their  products are better for the planet than if they did not exist.

The pieces are pared back and will motivate you to get back on the fitness wagon come January We love these leggings which have been treated with plant-based Biowick and peppermint oil to help soak up sweat and give anti-odour effects. And it’s pretend on the derriere just in case you want to share the sentiment with others.

We’ve also got out eye on FreePeople’s Quilted Carryall. Playing into the quilted trend and roomy enough to fit all your gym gear, snacks, beauty bits and work stuff, it’s on a Christmas wish list to help us get back in the gym come January.

Hailey Beiber’s collaboration with Wardrobe NYC is mainly made up of chic LBDs and oversized tailoring, reflecting her own personal style perfectly. On the flip side, we are loving her baggy tracksuit, particularly in this milky white. They’re so good they’ll want to make you stay in all through January.

We love Hailey’s go-to form-fitting slinky dresses and oversized tailoring, but these baggy off-white trackies make us want to stay in hibernation mode all winter.
