Hansel and Gretel

The Globe Theatre is set to stage a beautifully reimagined version of the classic fairytale, Hansel and Gretel, this Christmas. Penned by Poet Laureate Simon Armitage, this new production tells the story of two siblings, Hansel and Gretel, left to fend for themselves in a war-torn world. As they venture into the woods, they stumble upon a trail of irresistible treats and a mysterious old woman with her own agenda. Filled with music, magic, and hope, this stage premiere is a must-see for ages 5+.

A Christmas Carol

Everyone adores Charles Dickens’ story of Scrooge and his journey from mean to nice come Christmas Day. See the story come to life once again this Christmas at The Old Vic.  Matthew Warchus’ smash hit production of the classic tale will return to the theatre. Brilliantly adapted by Jack Thorne, see all of your favourite characters, from Jacob Marley to Tiny Tim, and the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future. Christopher Eccleston will be starring as Scrooge. Even those who identify with Scrooge and his feelings towards Christmas won’t be able to help but love The Old Vic’s production.

The Snowman

Who doesn’t love the heartwarming story of the boy who becomes friends with his snowman? This Christmas, fly across the winter skies and into the Peacock Theatre as Raymond Briggs’ winter novel comes to life on the big stage for its 27th year. Fall back in love with the festive classic thanks to Bill Alexander’s directorial magic, music and lyrics from Howard Blake, including everyone’s favourite ‘Walking in the Air’, and choreography by Robert North.

La Bohème

Written by Giacomo Puccini, La Bohème is one of the most famous operas of all time. Set on Christmas Eve in the streets of Paris, follow the story of Rodolfo, a penniless poet, meeting Mimì, a seamstress who fall in love. It’s not long before Rodolfo introduces Mimì to his bohemian friends and they head to Café Momus. But the happiness of the friends – and of budding romance – is threatened when Rodolfo learns that Mimì is gravely ill.

The Nutcracker 

A London Christmas tradition for all the family, The Nutcracker returns to the London Coliseum for a limited run of performances. See over 100 dancers and musicians perform in front of what’s set to be a sold-out audience. Expect stunning set design and Tchaikovsky’s score to be performed live as you follow Clara and her Nutcracker’s story unfold.
