With fresh and innovative new beauty brands landing on The Handbook beauty desk every single day, the choice of products is fast becoming overwhelming, even for us. So, we’ve done the hard work for you and filtered out the products which really are worth parting with your hard-earned cash. From eye-popping eyeshadows to pig- scented nail polishes, these are the beauty products that have made our editor squeal with excitement this month.

Percy Pig X Nails Inc Nail Polish Duo, £15

This is MAJOR! Our favourite pig (Peppa comes a close second) has teamed up with the iconic nail brand known for always pushing boundaries with their innovative designs. This is first time that Percy Pig has ever collaborated with another brand, and what better partnership than these pretty pink nail polishes. But the best bit is (drumroll please!) when the polishes dry on your nails, they release the sweet signature Percy Pig scent. Be warned, it’s going to take a lot of willpower not to nibble on your fingertips.

De Mamiel Soothe Bath Soak, £60

Although most of us have some time off over the festive break, it’s often hard to completely switch off and relax. Throw a few of these magnesium-based salts in your tub and your whole body and mind will simply flop. Packed with skin-soothing Himalayan and Dead Sea salts, amethyst to reduce negativity while calming lavender and warming ginger bring comfort and calm busy minds. It’s like a therapy session in your bath without the therapist! Give in, lie back, and reap the benefits for days.

Duolab Formulator, £179

Our skin is ever-changing, yet we rarely swap and change our skincare according to its needs at that specific time. Let us introduce you to this mind-blowing device from the French beauty brand L’Occitane that allows you to create targeted skincare according to your skin’s needs. It works similar to a Nespresso machine, put in a capsule (or three), press a few buttons and voila, 90 seconds later out pops your day/night cream. With over 20 combinations to work with, this is new-age, bespoke skincare at it’s very best. We have a strong feeling this is just the beginning of a whole new beauty sector. Watch this space!

Messiah & Eve Body Serum (01), £38

This is basically a facial serum for your body. An intense light gel-ish texture that elevates your post bath/shower routine. Packed with niacinamide, Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid, that deeply hydrates, nourishes, and leaves an amazing sheen and subtle scent to skin. Great for gleaming up party limbs.

Il Makiage X Arsenal Collab

We’re super excited about this collab which for the first time has united a women’s premier league football club with the innovative New York tech makeup brand. Together they have joined forces to inspire women to unleash their boldest, most badass side. To show off their game face — whether that looks fierce, focused, gritty, or grateful, inspiring young girls to be confident and believe in themselves. Some of the Arsenal Women’s faves include, Woke Up Like This Foundation, £36, Icon Mascara, £25 and F*CK I’m Flawless Concealer, £26.

Gisou Body Oil, £40

If you’re not familiar with this honey-infused beauty brand which is quite literally taken from a family-run bee farm, you need to be. The latest product in the range is this fast-absorbing non-sticky glow-getter that feels incredibly silky, firms lumps and bumps and feeds skin with an antioxidant powerhouse of ingredients to nourish parched skin. Plus, the packaging, mirroring a woman’s curvy body shape, will look gorgeous on your bathroom shelf.

Chanel Eclat Lunaire Oversize Illuminating Face Powder, £61.20

This had us at hello!! This stunning bronzing highlighter is more deserving of a frame than a face. Embossed with the signature No5 bottle and mega in size (which reflects in the price) it creates a bronzed sheen that is incredibly flattering to pasty winter skin and can be dabbed on eyes too. Alternatively, leave untouched and just spend hours staring at this beautiful sight!

Lisa Eldridge Muse Eyeshadow Palette, £49

Lisa is something of a makeup hero in the industry, what she says goes and beauty editors hang on to her every word. So, when she creates a palette, you know it’s considered and will deliver, which is exactly what these new eyeshadow palettes do. Our fave is “Muse” for its soft brown, champagne and pink tones and choice of matte and shimmer textures. It’s so wearable, flattering and the perfect combo for smokey eyes and a muted festive look.

Issey Miyake L’Eau d’Issey EDT, from £56

The iconic oriental scent that we all obsessively spritzed during our teens is celebrating 30 years in the fragrance world. Still an inspiration (with 21.2K searches a month) and still as timeless, fresh, and elegant as when it first caused a frenzy in 1992. With notes of lily, rose, lotus and wood, this earthy floral is deserving of a renaissance, while it’s clean glass flacon (inspired by the view from Miyake’s Parisian apartment) depicts the moon suspended over the Eiffel Tower. Simply beautiful then, now, and forever.

Ciate X Hannah Martin Brush Set, £169

This limited edition 24-piece brush set includes every brush you’ll ever need or didn’t know you even needed in your life, until now. Hannah, one of the most influential MUA’s in the industry with a whopping x following, is known for creating radiant skin and smokey eye tutorials and completely mesmerising to watch her transform her own face with incredible looks and techniques. With colour-coded brushes in three shades which means you can easily identify the brushes to use for complexion, eye, and lip. (Genius idea!) The brushes are made with ultra-soft fibres, wooden handles, and are completely vegan – as is the gorgeous leather rose case. We guarantee this will sale like hot cakes so get in there quick!

Aroma Active SOS Stomach Massage Oil, £12

Dodgy tummies and bloated bellies are a given this time of the year, but often it can lead to so much discomfort that it takes more than just loosening your waistband to relieve the pain. This camomile-based oil blended with Centella Asiatica (a natural anti-inflammatory) will soothe turbulent tums and even relieve menstrual cramps. Great for IBS sufferers too.
