This Christmas season The Delaunay, the all-day restaurant inspired by the Grand Cafés of Europe, is putting on a festive dining experience a notch above the rest. Their new ‘Fifth Season’ celebration takes inspiration from Austria, bringing live music from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and seasonal specials to four unique dates in November and December. A six-piece band will play the music of the Austrian Waltz while guests dine from a range of festive dishes and special drinks on offer, making this the ultimate Christmas celebration.

Capturing the magic of Austria’s fabled winter balls, the festive celebrations at The Delaunay bring to London the shimmer of gilded ballrooms, the joy of live music, and the allure of crisp Alpine evenings. Nodding to Vienna’s beloved classical music culture, a four-piece string quartet from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will recreate the magic of the Austrian Waltz from 7pm on November 29th, December 6th and 13th before culminating in a special midnight performance on New Year’s Eve.
What’s on the menu?
A range of special dishes will be available, all continuing on the festive theme. Think duck liver parfait with sauterne jelly and toasted brioche; lobster thermidor with chips, beef Wellington with french beans and port jus and an indulgent sherry Trifle for dessert.
Or you can choose from the a la carte offering, which includes favourites like wiener schnitzel; soufflé suisse with gem salad and wild mushroom stroganoff.

What are the festive drinks?
The Delaunay’s bar menu will also undergo a festive overhaul, taking inspiration from the Austrian Waltz. Guests can experience six unique and limited edition cocktails, each with a nod to an element of the Vienna ball season.
Bespoke creations include: ‘Alles Walzer’ with Tanqueray 10 gin, Noilly Prat, basil, apple liqueur, verjus, absinthe; ‘Master of Ceremony’ with Casamigos blanco tequila, Laphroaig single malt, saffron, honey, orange, lemon and ‘Edelweiss Club’ with Barsol Pisco, Casamigos mezcal, meadow vermouth, elderflower, dill, cucumber, lime.
For those fancying a quick festive sip, The Delaunay Counter will also be serving warming festive specials including Mulled Wine with Christmas spices, red vermouth, amontillado sherry, and orange; Grandma’s Hot Apple Cider and even a Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate with Stoli salted caramel.
