What is Disney 100?

London’s Disney100: The Exhibition will be the largest the Walt Disney Archives has ever created as it continues its European tour. The 20,000-square-foot exhibition will feature ten different themed galleries that will give visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Disney’s most loved characters, films and shows. In the ten imaginatively themed galleries you will be able to find more than 250 rarely-seen historical artefacts, moving stories, original costumes and props, and interactive installations. 

What are the highlights?

Memorabilia from some of Disney’s most famous films, including fan-favourite The Little Mermaid. Some of the notable items you could see include the actual prop storybook from the opening scene of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), the Crystalline glass slipper from the remake of Cinderella (2015) and the Mary Poppins (1964) carousel horse.

The Illusion of Life gallery will detail the creation process of Disney heroes, villains, and sidekicks from some of Disney’s timeless stories. By including items from the first sketch to the finished animation, visitors can see how these famous characters came to life.

Fans of the latest members of the Disney family – Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars – will also get the opportunity to see notable artefacts from their favourite films such as Iron Man’s helmet from Avengers: Infinity War (2018).

When is it?

You’ll get to experience the visual, audio, and interactive experience of Disney100: The Exhibition when the doors open on October 16, 2023. The exhibition will then continue to run into 2024.
