The school holidays with 5 children is never a relaxing affair. I moved out of London in lockdown, and definitely miss bits of it, especially the plethora of things on offer for families. So I decided to have a little London staycation, we were most definitely all in need of a change of scene . We’d usually need two, if not three hotel rooms just to fit everyone comfortably, and it’s always a struggle to find space and peace in such a setup. Enter Cheval Gloucester Park: a beautiful, spacious serviced apartment that turned out to be just what we needed for a relaxing yet vibrant family escape.

With five children, having all the essentials made it so much easier for us to unwind and enjoy our time together.
The amenities
The kitchen was small but fully stocked with everything we could need, including an electric cooker, kettle, Nespresso machine, and lovely china and glassware. It was like having our own private dining room in the heart of London, and the kids loved being able to help with dinner prep – a treat we rarely get when staying at hotels. With free WiFi, a washing machine, and a tumble dryer, it was a setup made for families. Having all the essentials made it so much easier for us to unwind and enjoy our time together.

Beyond the apartment, Cheval Gloucester Park has all the amenities you could wish for. From a secure parking area (a huge relief when driving into London) to an on-site gym and even a private cinema room, it’s clear they’ve thought of everything a family could need. The private cinema room became a family favourite after our busy days out. Watching movies together, it felt like a private cinema just for us,” which added to the feeling of exclusive comfort.

The location was ideal, allowing us to explore Chelsea and beyond without the stress of long commutes or crowded spaces. As one might say, it’s perfect for sightseeing without sacrificing comfort or convenience.
