The iconic weekend is almost upon us, so I’ve gathered plenty of inspo for all your festival outfits. Expect Western-inspired style, lace, rhinestones, and a heavy dose of rock ‘n’ roll bohemia.

Having already attended Stagecoach, the country music fest in the US, I’m firmly in festival mode. The bands, the fashion, the freedom… what’s not to love? These huge events have grown in popularity, but Glastonbury remains the most legendary. It draws in music aficionados, celebs, not to mention some of the coolest folk in media. With that in mind, the pressure to curate a next-level festival fashion edit is high.

The launch of two timely campaigns compounds all of the above. Kate Moss’s collection with Zara, created with long-term collaborator stylist Katy England, celebrates rock ‘n’roll abandon and ’70s glamour. Meanwhile, Burberry has released a series of portraits celebrating festival culture, including Liam Gallagher, Goldie, Cara Delevingne, Alexa Chung, Lennon Gallagher, Molly Moorish-Gallagher, and Gene Gallagher. Reinforcing Burberry’s legacy, all these British identities are united by a shared belief in the power of live music.

Festival fashion is flamboyant, free and unashamedly bold.

For 2025, festival fashion will forever be a picture of free-spirited adventure and escapism. It continues to take notes from previous generations, primarily the ’70s and ’90s. Plus, with the growing popularity of country tunes, Western influences are riding high. I’m 100% all about the lace dresses, cowboy boots, denim shorts, and oversized band tees. Oh, and we can’t ignore that element of sparkle. Expect sequin skirts, rhinestone jackets, not to mention a sprinkling of face glitter.

When pulling together my Glastonbury outfits, I know my go-tos. Free People, obviously. This boho haven is a must for everything from fringed jackets to maxi dresses. Similarly, Byron Bay-based label Spell is a beautiful regular on the festival circuit. Nobody’s Child is also a cert for cute co-ords and minis, while ASOS not only stocks Topshop, it also has oodles of affordable concert fits.

When deciding on what to wear to a festival, there are definitely practical elements to consider – wellies and waterproofs, for example, but ultimately, it’s about unleashing your inner groupie. Wear the crazy cape, the sparkle and rock’n’roll leathers and lace.
