Potentially down to the huge boho revival, but yes, fringe clothing is everywhere. It initially exploded at fashion week. According to Tagwalk, fringe surged 93% at New York Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2026, while Lyst flagged it as part of a broader 2010s revival. The facts are there. But the evidence is in my social feeds. The style set has taken this festival vibe and made it chic, cool and ever so ’26.

With a notable presence on the runways, this micro trend was destined for greatness. Even minimalist Calvin Klein served up a silky fringed top in gorgeous copper, while Balmain, Valentino and Michael Kors also delivered their own fringe fashion. This kind of embellishment is far from flash; it’s laid-back, nonchalant and yet perfectly dramatic. In leathers and suedes, it definitely clings to the western festival feel, but in silky fronds, the look is leaning into a more glamorous fit.

Unsurprisingly, Free People is leading the charge with its fringe clothing and accessories. Not far behind, however, are high-street stalwarts Zara and H&M.
