If there’s one accessory that’s picked up over the last year, and is set to be one of the summer’s hottest trends, it’s speed dealer sunglasses. Spotted on edgier fashion folks, Gigi Hadid has now entered the chat, sporting the piece in both of her latest Instagram posts.

This weekend, the model and TV personality took to social media to share a sneak peek of her last few months, captioned “signs of summer! 🌻”.
As you might’ve anticipated, the carousel contained all the regular suspects, think: bikini photos, dreamy picnics, iced coffees – you get the gist. But on the first and second slides, Gigi’s seen sporting a particularly notable pair of speed dealer sunglasses.
Characterised by their wrap-around, sporty-looking style, speed dealers are associated with 90s sportswear, Y2K futurism, rave culture, and a playful streetstyle aesthetic. Notably, as with most statement fashion trends, these sunglasses aren’t for everyone, but, in this editor’s opinion, she pulls them off.

Despite being considered a more divisive trend among the non-fashion community, the comments section was very in favour of the whole look “Our summer queen”, wrote one user, while another commented, “Love the video stills ❤️.” “Forever inspo 🔥” added a third.
In the previous post [pictured left], Gigi styled what appear to be the same shades with a metallic jade-green bikini top, an unbuttoned striped cardigan, and low-rise, grey tracksuit bottoms.
