The Ultimate Experience To Book If You Love All Things Vintage
If you’re looking for an event that champions vintage and second-hand style, you’ll want to book tickets for Goodwood’s upcoming event.
In partnership with
Introducing Goodwood Revival, the immersive experience that’s set to bring vintage and sustainable fashion fans together for the biggest celebration of second-hand in the UK. Taking place September 8-10th, this period-themed event boasts a stellar line-up delivering sustainable style stories, inspiring craft workshops and hours of incredible live music.
Here’s why you should book tickets to Goodwood Revival…
For the past 25 years, Goodwood has recreated the glamour and excitement that suffused the glory days of motor racing at the estate from 1948 to 1966. Held entirely in period theme, this immersive experience is a chance to revisit a time when people would ‘make do and mend’ cherished belongings for a lifetime of use, finding new resonance in today’s throwaway culture.
Taking place during ‘Second-hand September’ – the annual campaign encouraging people to buy only second-hand items – this year Goodwood Revival celebrates 25 years of incredible vintage style and shopping. A real community spirit comes alive every year, with visitors encouraged to become part of what feels like a movie set by embracing the glamour of the 1940s, 50s and 60s.
Alongside the classic cars, you can shop the vintage marketplace, and then visit the event’s ‘Revive & Thrive’ areas, where everyone has the chance to reconnect with the post-war skills that allow us to breathe new life into second-hand clothes. Looking at these traditional approaches through a modern lens, you can learn more about visible mending, darning, repurposing pieces and a variety of other sewing and knitting crafts, with a line-up of authors, influencers and television stars.
Having championed sustainable upcycling on TV shows including Changing Rooms, Interior Design Masters and Flipping Profit, TV presenter and sustainable interior designer, Micaela Sharp will be leading the Revive & Thrive Craft content, with a modern ‘Make Do and Mend’ ethos.
Other experts confirmed include Nerrisa Pratt, founder of The Bargello Edit, who will be curating the sewing workshops in the Revive & Thrive Sewing Tent, and Dominic Chinea of The Repair Shop fame.
More famous faces will be appearing on the Revive & Thrive Stage, giving key insights into sustainable living and the joys of vintage.
New York’s vintage impresario and style activist Dandy Wellington will be bringing the #VintageStyleNotVintageValues ethos to life on the Revive & Thrive Stage, talking with fellow key tastemakers, like Paula Sutton (@hillhousevintage). The full line-up of experts and influencers is set to be announced in the coming weeks.
From the hands-on workshops to the glamorous period theme, this is the ultimate event to book if you are looking to immerse yourself in all things vintage and second-hand. Tickets are selling fast so make sure you book now to be part of this wonderful event.
