The Family-Friendly Event Every Dog Lover Needs To Book

As much as we love our four-legged friends, finding somewhere you can let them off the lead, splash in lidos and pick up a new trick isn’t such a walk in the park. Thankfully for dog lovers out there, Goodwoof returns this month with a two-day event dedicated to our beloved pooches.
In partnership with
Following the success of 2022’s event, Goodwoof is back with a bark. On Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st May, Goodwood Estate will be packed full of pup-friendly competitions, trials, demonstrations and workshops to dive right into.
And the best part? We’ve teamed up with Goodwoof to offer our readers 50% off tickets! As friends of Goodwoof, you can claim a maximum of four adult or young person’s tickets at 50% off the usual entrance fee. With children 12 and under and dogs going free, this represents great value for a dog’s day out with their family, like no other.

Here’s why you should bring your four-legged friends to Goodwoof 2023…

Pooch-Powered Games & Activities
Designed around dogs, you can expect Goodwoof to have a whole host of activities and games for your furry friends to get stuck into. Last year’s most popular spot returns with the Field and Trail area showcasing top canine performers. Expect champion gundogs and sheepdogs to show off their tricks and skills. New for this year, this area will have an off-lead paddock where dogs can run around, cause mayhem with one another and even see if they have a trick up their sleeve themselves…
What dog doesn’t love making a splash? Located in the Field and Trail area will be the ever-popular Fido Lido presented by Leaps and Bounds. Perfect for the warm weather, hot dogs can cool off after the activities or just take a dip in the giant pool for a wave of fun.
Keen to get your pooch learning a trick or two? Experts will be on hand at the Have-A-Go area to help teach your old dog a new trick or two, from flyball to disc dog, heelwork to hurdles.
There’ll be competitions over the two days too, including Goodwoof’s Chien Charmant which is all about the unique bond between dog and owner. The competition celebrates you and your best friend and will be judged by a selection of famous faces.
Canine Sports
For dogs with bundles of energy, Goodwoof 2023 will be home to plenty of high-octane canine sports and fast-paced demonstrations at the Action Sports Arena. Packed with activities across the disciplines, both you and your dog can dive into sporty events or just bust a move as the arena transforms into a dancefloor for a dog disco. Get practising your coolest dance moves now…
If that’s not enough, you can cheer on your four-legged racing stars in the Fastest Dog 50-metre dash. Your competitive side will really come out thanks to the live leaderboard. A firm favourite of 2022’s event, the race has additional lanes to allow even more dogs to compete.

Exciting Exhibits & Talks
This year’s event will see the return of Barkitecture. Spearheaded by Grand Design’s presenter Kevin McCloud MBE, this exhibition space showcases totally unique kennels and dog homes designed by some of the world’s most influential architects. Each architect will be competing for the ‘Single Kennel Design Award’ with all proceeds going to the event’s official charity Pets As Therapy.
Over the weekend, the Literary Corner will be a hub of activity with a series of talks and demonstrations from well-known faces. Nuzzle yourself into a cosy corner and get inspired by readings and talks from modern behaviourists and award-winning artists.
Wellness Wonders
After chasing your pooch around, find your zen at the Studio presented by Randox Health. This area has a program packed with classes and talks, with everything from DOGA (you guessed it, dog yoga) to reiki, doggy massage to sound bathing sessions. Both you and your dog will feel revived and relaxed.
Afterwards, head to the Wellness Centre where you can look forward to a programme of talks presented by MARS experts, including vets, canine nutritionists, behaviourists and canine body language experts.
