I’m a firm believer in sharing good beauty finds – no gatekeeping here. This autumn, the change in seasons was leaving my skin and hair feeling dry and dull, so it felt like the perfect reason to give my evening routine a refresh, meaning John Lewis’ Night Is Yours edit couldn’t have come at a better time.

In Partnership With Estée Lauder & John Lewis

The curated collection brings together some of beauty’s most talked-about, results-driven brands (think: Estée Lauder, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, La Mer, Aveda and Origins), for whether you’re staying in or going out, this edit has everything you need for colder evenings.

To reset & restore

I tried Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Serum Synchronised Multi-Recovery Complex first. I’ll admit, I’m unreliable when it comes to serums – I don’t always notice much of a difference – but this one’s so famed for its ability to leave skin glowing by morning that it’s become a rare exception for me.

Powered by hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, and an exclusive Night Tripeptide-32 the formula supports overnight renewal with firmness, reducing lines, strength and skin radiance. A true skincare icon, it’s earned cult status, featuring in countless editor routines I’ve heard over the years.

This formulation is light and easy to apply, absorbing into your skin quickly, creating the ideal first step to your post-cleanse routine.

For extra hydration

I’ve recently started using Clinique’s new Moisture Surge™ Active Glow Serum. It’s really transformed my skin, which used to be dry and a bit flaky in places. With 5% lactic acid, vitamin C and hyaluronic acid, it instantly makes my skin look plump and glowy.

My main requirement of serums is that they layer nicely with other products, and this one is perfect for wearing under moisturisers in the evening, and SPF + foundation in the morning.

For those experiencing dryness, this is a quick and easy addition to your routine for instant results.

The nourishing base

I’ve been on the hunt for a thicker winter moisturiser, and Bobbi Brown’s Vitamin Enriched Face Base is my favourite skincare step (it smells amazing).

Packed with shea butter and vitamins B, C, and E, this rich formulation deeply nourishes your skin when it needs it most. It’s helped my skin feel noticeably more hydrated compared to lighter formulas I tend to gravitate to in summer. Plus, it works well as a primer and layers nicely with my regular makeup products.

With a thicker, buttery consistency, a little goes a long way with this cream, that leaves my skin feeling bouncy and radiant.

The night cream

I’ve been missing a good night cream in my routine, and now my skin looks bright and soothed. Considered the height of luxury skincare and a product I’ve been dying to try for years, La Mer’s The Rejuvenating Night Cream is a little jar of indulgence to top everything off.

Infused with the brand’s signature Miracle Broth™, it supports skin renewal overnight, improving firmness and texture for a rested, more radiant appearance by morning. Meanwhile, Marine Retinol Alternative MRA-3™ rejuvenates the skin without the irritating side-effects of retinol.

I’ve been missing a good night cream in my routine, and now my skin looks bright and soothed.

A lightweight option

Sometimes my skin can feel like it’s had a lot on it (makeup, pollution, etc) so I like having the option to swap in a lighter formulation like this. Lately, I’ve been using the Mega-Mushroom Overnight Recovery Cream from Origins – a moisturising, glow-enhancing formulation suitable for sensitive skin.

With reishi and fermented chaga to calm and strengthen the skin barrier, this cream feels super calming and often features in my morning routine too.

If you’re looking to give your skin a break, this little pot of goodness acts like a reset button.

For hair care

My hair often feels dry at the ends and requires a little extra TLC, especially after washing. Before I turn in, I apply a tiny amount of Aveda’s Miraculous Oil High Shine Hair Concentrate, running it through the ends. Specifically, this hardworking oil offers 195% more shine and heat protection to 230°C.

Enriched with tsubaki seed oil, smoothing daikon seed oil and camelina oil ferment, this treatment deeply nourishes my hair overnight, leaving it smooth and shiny by morning.

Evening haircare often gets overlooked, but running this through your ends means you wake up with smoother, softer strands.
