June New In: From Lucy Williams To Loquet London

June’s Fashion Heroes has just dropped as Contributing Fashion & Lifestyle Edior Astrid Carter takes you through the collaborations, news and hottest brands from the world of style. This month, expect two exciting collabs from Instagram favourites Lucy Williams and Abisola Omole, a sustainable Australian brand doing 1960s Cote D’Azur cool, as well as a capsule collection sure to get Ganni girls super excited.
Ancient Greek Sandals X Lucy Williams

If there’s one brand for Lucy Williams to collaborate with, it’s Ancient Greek Sandals. The Insta star’s love of travel and keen eye for styling is well documented, plus it seems she’s rarely out of a pair of barely-there flats for more than five minutes, which makes a collab centered around sandals make all the more sense.
The collection comprises footwear, bags and accessories, all in Lucy’s signature downplayed, unfussy style. There are leather fisherman sandals in chocolatey brown and mauve; thick soled flip flops made for wearing with wide-leg trousers; lattice basket bags for balmy evenings; and a playful crochet bucket hat to see you through festival season.
Starting at £155, the Lucy Williams X AGS collection is available to shop now.
Ganni X Coggles Capsule Collection

Calling all girls who worship at the altar of Ganni, here’s a collab to get you excited. The Scandi brand has teamed up with online retailer Coggles for an exclusive capsule collection of pieces you won’t find anywhere else.
Titled “Steal My Sunshine” the eight-piece collection is inspired by the vibrant colours of summer with joy-inducing separates that don’t take themselves too seriously. Think dolphin motifs – very 90s, a crochet beach dress and a puff-sleeve co-ord set.
Plus, in keeping with Ganni’s sustainability values, each piece is made using 100% organic cotton saved from excess material used in previous collections.
The collection is available to shop now exclusively at Coggles.com
RIXO X Abisola Omole

RIXO has teamed up with businesswoman and influencer, Abisola Omole, for one of the best size-inclusive ranges I’ve seen in ages. The collection will be available from 5th July, in sizes UK6 – UK26, making it the first RIXO range designed for a wider range of body shapes to feel comfortable, sophisticated and playful.
Expect the signature RIXO aesthetic to shine through, from vintage colour palettes to charming prints, as well as functional features that Abisola was keen to include, like concealed panels, thicker straps and rib constructions to ensure the perfect feel, fit and confidence boost.
Abisola Omole commented: “The intention behind the collection is really to provide more body types access to cool, playful and chic styles, as they are often overlooked. We wanted to design a collection that felt different to what was currently available in this size range, I wanted the pieces to feel timeless, fun and easy to wear.”
This is definitely one collection changing the game when it comes to more inclusive ranges and hopefully the start of many more.
The eight-piece RIXO X Abisola Omole collection launches online and exclusively in the RIXO King’s Road store on 5th July 2023. Prices start from £125.

Gemma Styles X Rachel Jackson For Choose Love

Podcaster, writer and sibling to the most famous man on the planet right now, Gemma Styles, has teamed up with British jewellery designer, Rachel Jackson, to create a limited edition Heart Necklace, in collaboration with charity Choose Love.
Gemma has become a millennial authority on important topics such as mental health, the environment and humanitarian crises, and this partnership will give 100% of profits to Choose Love which supports refugees and displaced people around the world.
As the daughter of a refugee myself, this is a cause close to my heart.
The necklace is a riff on Rachel Jackson’s signature Art Deco heart silhouette, with a twist of a hand-carved peridot stone, which incidentally is the stone of compassion. It’s also made from certified recycled gold and silver and comes beautifully wrapped in sustainably sourced and 100% recyclable packaging.
Rachel has said of the collaboration “After the incredible success of our first sell-out necklace last year – a collaboration with Dawn O Porter for Choose Love – and raising over £60,000, we felt compelled to do it again. This time, with a new audience and the goal of raising even more. As the daughter of a refugee myself, this is a cause close to my heart.”
The limited edition Gemma Styles x Rachel Jackson necklace for Choose Love will be launching on Friday 30th June 2023 priced at £85. 100% of the profits will be donated to Choose Love.

Boteh’s Solàre Collection

It’s no secret that we love an Australian fashion brand here at The Handbook, and this collection is one to seriously fawn over. Enter, Boteh and their June Solàre Collection, inspired by the sun-drenched and high tempo 1960s Cote D’Azur era.
Think Keith Richards rock ‘n’ roll-meets-St Tropez glam
Think French wallpaper motifs, retro resort cuts and sunset swatches of pink, burnt orange and azure blue.
Standout pieces have to be the Wallpaper Swing Blouse – think Keith Richards rock ‘n’ roll-meets-St Tropez glam. We’ll be wearing it all summer long with denim shorts and over maxi skirts and suede boots come autumn.
All of Boteh’s fabrications are purely plant-derived from 100% cellulosic, which makes them more enduring than synthetic options, meaning you can love them for longer.
Boteh is available to shop in the UK online at Harrods and Free People, or on their dedicated website BOTEH.COM.AU
