Scarlett Johansson And Jonathan Bailey Fight To Survive In Jurassic World: Rebirth

Scarlett Johansson takes the lead in Jurassic World: Rebirth– the latest in the iconic long-running sci-fi series. She plays a military operative who, along with a small team, is tasked with searching a remote island that holds key biomaterials from prehistoric species that could change mankind. Starring alongside her are Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali and Rupert Friend– here’s all you need to know:
What is Jurassic World: Rebirth about?
As the latest instalment in the Jurassic series, Jurassic World: Rebirth takes place five years after Jurassic World: Dominion, where prehistoric creatures now exist only in small pockets around the globe. One such location is an island in the Atlantic Ocean, which holds particular interest for the scientific community because the animals there are believed to possess valuable biomaterials. Such materials (which are obviously rare) could, if extracted, be used in medication that has the potential to cure disease and save millions of lives. To retrieve them, a small team, including Zora Bennett (Johansson), is dispatched by the pharmaceutical company ParkerGenix.

Zora, a resilient and resourceful covert operative, is joined in her mission by team leader Duncan Kincaid (Ali) and Dr. Henry Loomis (Bailey), a palaeontologist and expert in all things dinosaur- fossilised or not. They head off to this mysterious island but realise that they are not prepared for what they find there. When they discover a family that has washed ashore after being shipwrecked, Zora’s team becomes stranded and is now on a race to survive. Things become more dangerous when animals from prehistory start appearing that are deformed and mutated, as they uncover a terrible secret that has been hidden for years.
What else do we know, and when can I watch?
Jurassic World: Rebirth is in theatres now with Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and the rest, breathing new life into the franchise that’s been going since 1993. Rupert Friend, meanwhile, stars as a representative of the secretive pharmaceutical company that seems to know more about the island than it’s letting on.
