Lace Up Boots

There’s no denying we’re all crushing on ballet pumps right now, but boot season is upon us, and it’s set to be a good one. From biker to cowboy, the options are endless, however right now it’s all about lace-up boots.

Obviously, we’ve spotted these punk-inspired boots on many an influencer, but not before they dominated the AW23 runways. The eyelet styles at Roberto Cavalli have filtered down to Dune London and French favourite, Ba&sh, while the combat iterations from Fendi, Dior and Coach are inspiring the collections at AllSaints and Mango.

On top of this, the hottest collaboration of the moment, the Zara x Steven Meisel collection, features a must-have pair of lace-up combat ankle boots. So, you know, this is a look to get on board with. Check out Air & Grace for guaranteed comfort or Toast, especially if you feel like braving a colour other than classic black. Or, if you’re after A-list luxury, invest in an Italian-made pair from Dear Frances, the label worn by everyone from Margot Robbie to Sienna Miller.

Wear with faux leather and an oversized white shirt. Alternatively, pair with florals or floaty skirts to add some edge to an otherwise super feminine look.

The Zara x Steven Meisel limited edition collection, which includes lace-up combat boots, is everything you'd expect: '90s grunge meets rock 'n' roll cool featuring some of the most beautiful faces in fashion.
