Let’s be honest, February isn’t anybodies favourite month. We’re well and truly in the brunt of winter and it honestly feels like it’s never-ending. But, we’re hoping a little Handbook magic will do the trick to whizz away those Winter blues. We’ve scoured the city, handpicking London’s very best pop-ups that’ll see you waving bye-bye to the Winter and hello to the Spring.
Florals are back and they’re headed for South Place Hotel. Our favourite boutique hotel has partnered with the world’s very first French elderflower liquor, St-Germain, to create on very special ‘Mystical Garden’. To help blow away those Winter blues, the secret garden has been totally transformed into a floral haven and by the looks of its beauty, you’d be a fool not to snap up an Insta or two. The garden is also in collaboration with Sophie Tea and champions female empowerment and body positivity through inspiring art, life drawing, cocktails and a whole lotta florals.
Fashionistas, you’ll be jumping with joy as you rummage through Diesel’s exclusive sample and clearance sale! It’s your chance to nab up some of your favourite items from their iconic range from jog jeans to leather jackets, sweaters to stylish skirts. You might be thinking London is looking a little sparse now that Christmas lights aren’t pinned to every pillar, fern trees aren’t adorn with flashing bulbs and the illumination over the city from Winter Wonderland has ceased, which is why we want to draw your mind to the wonderful world of Lightopia.
Watch as 2,000 lanterns pitter patter their way to Chiswick House Gardens bringing with them over 1,000,000 light bulbs. Get your ‘grams at the ready as you’re transported into the magical world of gigantic lollipops, life-size bumblebees and immaculate building-size peacocks – think Alice in Wonderland meets Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. You’re in for a mile long adventure as you explore 47 different lantern groups work come together for this mega installation exploring the differing world of expression and raw emotion.

Love is quite literally in the air over at Pip & Nut’s ‘Love Lab’. Helping you get in the mood for Valentine’s Day is the nation’s nut butter sweet-hearts, Pip & Nut, as you blend your own bespoke ‘Love Lab’ nut butter with a little helping hand from the Pip & Nut ‘Squirrelogist’. You’ll even be able to write your own love notes to the person you’re nuts for.

Eccleston Yards have been up to their wonderful tricks once again and this time it’s with the introduction of Wellness Wednesdays. On Wednesday 12th, why not join MasterPeace, London’s first dedicated mindful art experience, for an evening dedicated to the mind, body and soul through painting. The workshop will be followed by a nourishing meal courtesy of Wild By Tart. Perfect.

We don’t mean to be barking your ears off but we might have found the very best art exhibition to have graced the city so far…
Introducing Meet Vincent Van Gogh, an all new immersive exhibition which will see Londoners getting up close and personal with mahoosive recreations of Van Gogh’s iconic works, climbing up high on the glistening hay bales in Arles and even snapping a ‘gram in his very own bedroom, and it’s making its way to South Bank this February. Throughout the experience, Van Gogh’s narration will guide you around, retelling his life, friendships, loved ones and techniques, created from the Van Gogh Museum’s private collection of personal letters. And, if you do fancy your hand at recreating his exceptional Starry Night scene, you can channel your inner artist and give it a go for yourself.

Catch the last few days of Battersea Power Station’s glorious light festival before it goes! Commissioned by Light Art Collection, the curious minds behind the Amsterdam Light Festival, uncover four twinkling light installations as they come to life before your very eyes.

Forget red roses, we’re all about the black kind. Enjoy Valentine’s Day a little different this year as Camden Market plays host to a Dark Romance pop-up florist. Expect to find dip dyed black roses, cuddle Camden cactuses and even Chin Chin Labs will be joining in with their heartbreaker cakes.

I’m sure we can all agree that settling back into work after the Christmas break has been a struggle, and this dreary weather isn’t helping one bit. But, we’ve found a little haven that’s helping us tear away from the relentless work deadlines that appear to be piling up. Enter Garnish Garden, your new favourite oasis. Gin Mare and Eneko Basque Kitchen & Bar at One Aldwych Hotel have partnered up to transform the bar into a complete oasis of botanicals, freshness and good times.
Beverage Manager at One Aldwych, Perdo Paulo has concocted three delicately blended Gin Mare cocktails, each of which have been paired with a tasty pintxo inspired by the Gin Mare botanicals. Enjoy all of this alongside an energising facial or body scrub in the One Aldwych Health Club in their Winter citrus experience. There’s even a little Valentine’s package with your name on it too (available 13th-15th February) – it’s gintastic!
