Hello Kitty 45th Anniversary Pop-Up

Me-wow! Who knew being 45 could look so good? To mark the 45th anniversary of the iconic character Hello Kitty, an immersive and supersized Hello Kitty plush experience will be opening this Saturday. Fans of the beloved kitty can meet the kitten herself and show off their cute selfies on Insta obvs. Those who use the hashtag #hellokitty45 and tag @hellokittyeu will be entered into a prize draw to win a purr-fect goodie bag.

Where Light Falls

Can you even imagine London without St. Pauls Cathedral? Well, lucky for us we don’t have to thanks to the wonderfully courageous men and women who risked their lives to save the Cathedral during the Second World War. In honour of these brave souls, St. Paul’s will be lit up and glistening during their light installation this weekend. It’s all in partnership with Historic England and the projections are inspired by original poetry.

Sherlock: The Game is Now

Fujifilm's 'My Life' Exhibition

Explore what it means to be living in the UK today at Fujifilm’s ‘My Life’ exhibition, taking place at the Truman Brewery this weekend. It’ll be one of the UKs largest crowd-sourced photography exhibitions, displayed and spilt into six categories centring around living in the UK. Throughout the exhibition, you’ll be able to take part in free workshops, photography walks and demos, as well as the chance to get a free professional studio shot taken and printed onsite.

Cookery School

If your days of summer boozing have reached their timely end and you’re looking to spend your weekends doing something slightly more constructive then how about going back to school? Not normal school of course, because never again, but Cookery School and we know just the place. The self-explanatorily named Cookery School, just off of Oxford Circus, hosts a whole range of classes from Indian to dim sum to stews and casseroles. 

The classes rotate so if you miss one, it will roll around again in a few weeks. The classes are available all year round but this weekend’s line-up features French breakfast pastries, healthy eating, ‘the ultimate meat and poultry’, and cakes.

For goodness saké! Yet another saké event?! Yep, this time it’s time to celebrate World Saké Day and Japan Week. The Japan Food Product Overseas Promotion Center (yep, they’ve gone with the American spelling) will be hosting an exclusive pop-up for us Londoner’s celebrating all things saké and seafood, in collaboration with The Oysterman Seafood Bar & Kitchen. Tim Walker: Wonderful People at Michael Hoppen Gallery

'dash' for Sober October

Budding runners are invited to join the 5/10K ‘dash’ for Sober October this Saturday. It’s all to celebrate the 70,000 Brits who signed up to take part in this years Sober October so pop on your best green gym gear (the MacMillan charity colour). For every dasher in green, Dash Water will donate a further 50% donation to MacMillan.
