If you’re a frequent Handbook dweller, you’ll know we’re a little bit food crazy and we’ve just put ourselves in a food frenzy over the UK’s mega selection of foodie festivals. If there’s one thing Brits are renowned for it’s our flourishing pub scene. No, we’re not talking about the questionable Spoons down the road, we’re talking about the proper British pubs that channel fine food and great booze. One individual who’s a little dab handed in this field is Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge, so much so that he created a foodie festival celebrating the British boozer.
What can you expect? A whooping weekend of fine food, flowing fizz and non-stop music. Tom has worked his magic once again, bringing together award-winning chefs from across the country, who’ll be making their way across eight locations this summer. Foodie highlights include: Tredwells by Marcus Wareing, Root by Josh Eggleton, Michelin-starred Purnell by Glynn Purnell and, of course, Kerridge’s own two Michelin starred restaurants The Hand & Flowers and The Coach. Any foodies would be foolish to miss this festi.

Previous headliners include: Elbow, Jess Glynne, Duke and Lewis Capaldi.

Ah, it’s the luck of the Irish that we have to thank for fuelling us foodie fiends with one hell of a festival. Despite championing Irish music and arts, Body&Soul is also renowned for its major foodie scene bursting with international flavours. Fully committed to sustainability, you’ll also find the gourmet producers fuelling hungry festival goers on reusable wooden boards too.

Love them, or loathe them, we’ve all had to try an oyster. And, if you’re someone who can’t get enough of the little slimers, there’s a whole festival dedicated to the stuff. Nuzzled in the beating heart of Cornish university town of Falmouth, the festival champions four days of indulging, cooking demos, live music and crafts. This year, expect to find Cornish foodie heroes Emily Scott, Nick Batten & Ashley Carkeet, Matt Slater, Nick Hodges and Nick Hemming paving the oyster way.
