8 Things to Pack for a Festival
Bum bags, welly boots and brollies. UK festival weather is on par with dating apps: you never quite know what you’re going to get, but you take the risk anyway. And whilst we might be slightly late to the party given it’s now mid-August, we know all too well that you bunch of party animals will drag out fezzy season as long as possible, and so we thought we’d throw out this checklist now with a round-up of must-brings (beside the obvious).
Party on…
Ooo La La
Bum Bags
They look about as charming as their name…or at least they did. However now, given that bum bags are all the rage, various outlets are sprucing them up with sparkles galore, amongst other things, to (finally) give bum bags a much needed re-vamp. And, to avoid being too bu bag prejudice, they are actually quite handy (until some “rebel” in the crowd unclips it as a joke and you lose your sunnies, lippy and all your life savings).
Snap Happy
Disposable Camera
Because we all know you’re going to lose your phone at the festival, so take a disposable camera, or two, as back-up. Plus, the photos are edgy and make you look way cooler than you are so it’s a win, win!
Skips, Wotsits and Quavers Galore....
Snacks
There’s a reason festival fields are submerged in crisp packets, chocolate wrappers, (and other random bits of paraphernalia we’d rather not mention) at the end of a festival. It’s because snacks are an essential, and to avoid those laborious street food truck queue’s and getting to the front to be told “cash only”, load up on snacks before you go. Thank us later.
Clean Hair, Don't Care
Dry Shampoo
Because we all know showering just isn’t an option…
Shine On
A Preferably (Very) Shiny Wind Breaker
Even if the rain doesn’t come (raining) down, a shimmery wind breaker is all the rage at the moment. Plus, you could wear it on the shoulders of someone to catch your favourite singers attention… however a sea of other people will be wearing them so, better get your dance moves on point to match.

Portable Charger
If it doesn’t go on Insta, did it even happen? Grab yourself a portable charger for your upcoming festival – yes we know, you have to eventually charge the charger itself! However, they do come in funky designs like this avo-one, so that’s a plus!
Catching the Zzz's
Sleeping Masks
Sleeping in a tent is pretty questionable as it is, and not the most enjoyable experience when you’re drunken stumblers are knocking into your tent at all hours in the morning. So, to achieve a slice of respite, grab yourself a sleeping mask to shy away from the light of day. A sore head and sunlight is never the nicest concoction.
Filling Up
Water Bottles
Water: It’s a necessity we often forget is necessary, especially at a festival. So saddle up on water bottles, and keep the water flowing.
