Psst… guess what! It’s very nearly the weekend. Not only that, but the buzz around the office (and I’ve not checked any freely available weather channel, website or app, instead choosing blind belief) is that it’s going to be a scorcher. So what are you going to do with yourselves? Well, obviously you could go and watch the football (blah blah), or you could do something fun at any number of places on this list this weekend. Here’s some ideas…

The Bloomsbury

Ola Bloomsbury!

The Bloosbury’s Club Bar will spend this summer dressed up as a tiki-inspired Palm Terrace thanks to Diplomático rum. The hotel bar’s new look launches this Friday with a medley of tiki-inspired cocktails, weekend vinyl DJs and a new Venezuelan uniform for the staff. Look forward to palm leaves, the vibes of South America and lots and lots of Diplomático rum.

White City Place

Bye Bye Diet, Hello Loukoumades

Greek street fooders, The Athenian will be at White City Place for a weekend to celebrate loukoumades. The light, fluffy, doughnut style balls are drenched in honey and while a staple in Greece have yet to penetrate the UK. Which is exactly why this incredible food is going to be here in all its glory in White City Place. Look out for classic loukoumades topped with honey and cinnamon as well as modern takes on toppings like hazlenut and praline and chocolate sauce. That diet just got a whole lot tricker…

And the P) was a huge success. At the time of writing there are a smattering of tables left, if you want to be among the first to check things out…

Palm Greens Salad Bar

Vegan Fast Food

If you’re as big a fan of vegan stuff as Charlotte in our office is, then you’ll probably want to get down to Hoxton Square for Kali Cooking’s market stall Palm Greens Salad Bar which will be serving some of their apparently delicious vegany food. Kali Cooking’s ethos, to serve well sourced, fresh plant based salads and snacks in a fast food style, is really catching on and their supper club is incredibly popular.

Asia de Cuba

Over at Asia de Cuba they’ve only gone and gotten in the Champers. Specifically, they’ve teamed up with Laurent-Perrier for a brunch extraordinaire. Oh, and it’s bottomless! There’ll be a live Latin band, getting down with the vibes while you get high on the bubbles.
