They say that the way you spend New Year’s Eve is the way you’ll spend the following year and if that’s true then we’ll be spending 2018, dancing, feasting and partying. And that sounds just fine to us. Here are 26 ways to celebrate the arrival of 2018 in London:
The Perception Bar
Bring in the new year at NU/TOPIA at W Hotel’s The Perception. The night will be hosted by DJ Cici Cavanagh who’ll be soundtracking your night with a whole mix of music. There’ll also be a special guest live performance, bubbles, and canapés.

London Cabaret Club is hosting a decadent party with an extraordinary show featuring contortionists, entertainers, fire breathers and music from around the world. This isn’t one for those who want to go to bed early, you can keep partying right up until 5am. Sign us up!
8 Northumberland Avenue
8 Northumberland Avenue is hosting not one, but two NYE parties this year. Choose from The Lost Place of Atlantis or Winter Glitz and Glamour. Either way, it’ll be a sophisticated black tie event with unlimited alcohol, a multiple course dinner, photo booths, DJs and views of the amazing London fireworks.
Want to get into a sold out party? When you dine at Fenchurch or Darwin Brasserie you then can then get into the Great Gatsby themed party in the Sky Garden! Wrap up in smoking jackets and your furs, faux of course, and start the year with stunning views out across London and all the fireworks going off.
Boozy board games, red cups, plenty of punch and of course karaoke! Lucky Voice is doing the organising, throwing the party and cleaning up the next day, you just have to bring your A game and your singing voice.
At Midnight, the biggest gangster of New York, ‘Mad Dog’ Moriziano is released from prison and he’s coming back to take control of the Hush Gin Joint. Whether you are looking for an intimate dinner or a large get to together then head to The Lighterman, where you can see in the New Year with dishes such as game terrine en croute and spiced chutney, salmon wellington and dark chocolate fondant with salted caramel ice cream and honeycomb.
Percy & Founders
With Champagne on arrival, Percy & Founders three course menu features roasted scallops, samphire, Champagne velouté with clementine; venison loin, potato fondant, smoked purple sprouting broccoli and redcurrant jus and to finish chocolate and Armagnac fondant with pistachio ice cream. Then if you aren’t too full you can head to the bar and dance the night away as the DJs take to the decks.
Smith & Wollensky
Smith & Wollensky is saying goodbye to 2017 with a sumptuous meal of dishes such as monkfish ceviche, Irish beef fillet Wellington and milk chocolate hazelnut mousse. Accompanying the meal will be an eight piece band who’ll be playing the greatest hits of the Rat Pack.
Whether you head to Bounce Farringdon or Bounce Old Street, you’ll be able to play unlimited UV ping pong and Wonderball, have your face painted with UV face paint and get free pizza slices. Sounds like a cracking start to the year to us.
To celebrate New Year’s Eve, The Balcon at Sofitel London St James will be serving up a decadent feast with dishes including venison carpaccio, parmesan and truffle oil; battered Dover oyster, lobster and house smoked trout chowder and Champagne granita. All accompanied by a live jazz band.
Maddox’s legendary masquerade party is back and it’s set to be bigger than ever! Head to the restaurant first for Champagne, oysters and a four-course dinner, or head later for the party. Either way you’re going to need a mask, because no mask, no entry – you have to get into the spirit of things!
Celebrate the new year at Pan-Asian, Tom Dixon designed restaurant Bronte. From 5pm, guests will be able to dine a la carte, drink all the bubbles and dance to the live DJ who’ll be playing until the early hours of 2018.

We all know the world has suffered a little this past year, so the theme of the night will be fairy tales and fables, showcasing good overcoming evil, as a symbol of welcoming a good new year. The decadent menu will include Australian abalone with Sakura shrimp and Chinese chive flower; Chilean Wagyu beef with choi sum, pak choi and Le Petit Chongqing sauce followed by Bergamot & almond perfume. Mayfair Pizza Co
Whether you’re looking for a table of two or want to throw a party for 24, Mayfair Pizza Co is the answer. Starting with Prosecco on arrival, you’ll sit down to a dishes such as beef carpaccio, grilled seabream, pizza and salted caramel Oreo tart. Afterwards head across the courtyard to Mews of Mayfair to dance the night away.
Ring in the new year, Mexican style at Ella Canta – that means Latin beats, carnival rhythms unlimited, margaritas and dishes such as Jicama tacos with devil crab and avocado; pork with emerald green sauce, black beans and wild herbs and plantain molotes with solar corn cream and caviar.
End 2017 at The Stafford with their rather excellent four-course dinner. Enjoy a special NYE menu, with dishes such as roast fillet of wild Brixham turbot with herbs, tortellini and hollandaise; coal roast 55 day aged White Park rib of beef with lobster, trumpet mushrooms, parsley root, garlic and truffle roasting juices; and dark chocolate and salted vanilla caramel torte; all while enjoying panoramic views of London.
Celebrate the year stylishly at Mondrian’s American British fusion restaurant Sea Containers, who’ll be serving up a four course tasting menu, with dishes such as roasted quail, winter cep gnocchi and roasted apple crumble. Have a magical NYE this year, literally, at Boisdale. They’ll be serving up a three course menu, while magician Dan Farrant will be blowing your minds with the most impressive tricks. The menu includes dishes such as duck liver and foie gras parfait; poached fillet of Cornish cod crab arancini; and panna cotta poached Yorkshire rhubarb pistachio tuille biscuits.
The London EDITION
End the year on a high at Berners Tavern at The London EDITION. They’ll be hosting two seatings on NYE, feeding you dishes like slow cooked Forman’s London cure salmon with foie gras; highland vension wellington; and the signature Flaming Alaska. Later in the evening, a live DJ will be helping the party along.
Head to Sin City at Madison this year to celebrate the new year. Show girls, magicians and stilt walkers will be bringing the Vegas feel to the party while a DJ will be playing until 3am.
100 Wardour St
100 Wardour St will be hosting Cirque d’Soho this year, for the ultimate NYE party. There’ll be jugglers, contortionists, acrobats, stilt walkers as well as a few surprises. In charge of the music will be The Fellas, who’ll be playing the best of the nineties and noughties, to help you bring in 2018.
Mei Ume is welcoming in the new year with a menu of creative sharing plates and half a bottle of Delamotte Brut per person. Bringing together dishes from China and Japan, you’ll find whole Peking duck; golden crispy seabass in sweet and sour sauce and Chinese barbeque cha siu pork.
La Dame de Pic
Celebrating its first New Year’s Eve, La Dame de Pic London will be open for dinner and serving a six-course menu which includes chef, Anne-Sophie Pic’s signature dish of Berlingots as well as wild venison, Brittany scallops and chocolate and pears.
Aqua Kyoto, Aqua Nueva and Aqua Spirit
Pick from Spanish or Japanese cuisine at Aqua Regent, and enjoy amazing views of the Mayor of London’s NYE fireworks. Guests will be greeted with a glass of champagne and there’ll be live entertainment during dinner, after which a DJ will take over, taking guests through the night until 4am.
End the year on a high, up at Aqua Shard, which offers some of the best panoramic views of London. The dinner menu includes dishes such as raw Portknockie scallop, grilled Hereford beef fillet & glazed short rib, and golden Manjari chocolate. Harmony band The Spinnettes will be playing until midnight, then after the countdown and fireworks, a DJ will continue the party until 3:30am.
The 33rd floor of the Shard is home to Hutong, which will be offering a five course tasting menu of northern Chinese dishes, including their signature Peking duck, this NYE. After the countdown and fireworks, guests will be invited to join the party at Aqua Shard.
Bluebird’s Nutcracker themed courtyard will add a touch of magic to your NYE. Wander past the wooden figurines before settling in for a festive 3 course menu, which includes dishes such as hot baked vacherin with a warm potato and walnut salad; roasted venison fillet; and profiteroles with a salted caramel sauce. Skilled sommeliers will be on hand to help you pair your dishes with the best wines and cocktails.
The Irish tradition of Oíche na Coda Móire (which translates to ‘the night of big portions’), is perhaps the best way to bring in the new year, especially since it ensures plenty of food for the coming year. Choose from either a 3 course, or more indulgent 8 course menu, feasting on dishes such as pressed duck liver terrine; poached Scottish lobster tail with baby turnips and white chocolate and hazelnut mille feuille with black truffle and milk ice cream. Throughout the evening, a roaming 3 piece band will be serenading the guests.
Wrap up the new year at The Marylebone’s 108 Brasserie with a decadent 3 course menu with all the British classics. Think heritage beetroot tarts; fillet and cheek of scotch beef; and baked Alaskas. The bar will be open, offering you bubbles until 1am.
Town House Kensington
The New Year’s Eve menu at Town House is an indulgent fare, with dishes such as crispy pork belly, champagne and perigord truffle risotto, passion fruit cake and, if you haven’t tired of them by this point, mince pies. There’ll be live music too, at The K Bar, where you can enjoy signature contemporary cocktails, dessert cocktails, as well as the classics.
Spoil yourself and finish off the year with a tasting menu at Alain Ducasse’s restaurant at The Dorchester. The 8 course menu with wine pairings includes dishes showcasing foie gras, lobster, turbot, venison, vacherin and chocolate. To accompany dessert will be a midnight champagne, specially selected by Alain Ducasse himself. What a way to end the year.
See in the New Year with cocktails and a delicious three course dinner in Oscar Restaurant whilst listening to live music by Silk Street Swing Band. Begin the evening with an Oscartez Portobello Road Gin Martini and chef’s selection of canapés followed by a menu of seasonal delights such as handpicked Dorset crab with pink grapefruit jelly, fillet of aged Aubrey Allen beef ‘Rossini’ and blood orange crème brûleé.
