So, if you need some food-spo, social media seems to be the best place to look for some coveted meat-free meal ideas.
A peruse through the aesthetic pleasing dishes draws you in to no end, suffice to say picking our favourite accounts was somewhat of a mean feat, and I know it’s corny but we I find the following instas a-maize-ing… and before my uncontrollable love of puns begins to flourish, I’ll put it a stop to it. So, here are the best vegan-insta’s we champion, you know…kale them kindness, and all that.

Why: The Handbook team were absolutely blown away by the Naturally.Jo insta account, so much so that I may have mumbled “this is my favourite instagram account EVER”, discretely, under my breath…What’s more, Naturally.Jo is run by a teenager named Jose from Peru, and I’m totally fan-girling. The account showcases awe-inspiring images of fruit-and-veggie-topped toasts, breakfast smoothie bowls, ice-creams and much more awash with striking, swirly colours and pastel shades. If you’re not following, now’s definitely the time to start.

Why: Earthy Andy is an insta account by a woman named Andrea, who has been the subject to a tumultuous pattern of health in the past, thus landing her as a plant-based influencer filling our feeds with colour and inspo. Most commonly seen rummaging about with her two rambunctious little boys, Andrea posts vegan recipes and tips, alongside beautiful images that make you hungry even after you’ve eaten.
Why: Certified Plant Based Nutritionist and Wellness Coach, Caroline, is a blonde bombshell with a whole host of fabulous vegan-based dish ideas. The trustworthy source shares regular recipes and images of enviable dishes inclusive of buffalo cauliflower bites, BBQ jackfruit sandwiches, mango beet sushi and more.
Why: Best of vegan is an incredible resource for vegan cooking, with a whopping 1.5 million followers their feed consists of re-posts from other plant-based accounts, showcasing a huge range of alternate recipes. Visit their website too for a 3-day vegan meal plan and to pre-order their cook book.
Why: Plant Future is an up-and-coming, video-based insta account depicting quick and easy ways to rustle up an array of vegan dishes. From tofu stir-fry to lentil bolognese and berry oat bars, you’ll be able to meal-prep for weeks to come with these step-by-step vegan video guides. The future certainly is bright for plant future.
Why: A huge and raw and vegan celebrity influencer, Fully Raw Kristina is a super cool vegan-instagrammer with a story at the helm of her success.
