Hurrah for the weekend! As it rolls round again – and boy are we glad it has – it’s time to immerse yourself in the following weird and downright wonderful things to do:

Shangri La Hotel At The Shard

Shangri-La is launching a new afternoon tea this weekend and on Saturday and Sunday, mother’s will get a bouquet of flowers – so that’s your presented sorted if you’ve forgotten it’s Mother’s Day. The Royal High Tea is a celebration of motherhood, inspirational women and the upcoming arrival of the royal baby. Honouring the women who taught them to cook, the cakes and pastries have all been created by using the chefs’ family recipes. As well as mocktails (there are cocktails too), expectant mums will also receive a special surprise gift.

Brasserie of Light

On Saturday 30th of March the worldwide movement of Earth Hour will be celebrated, and for those wondering what the heck that is then you can find more information here, but essentially it’s a way to encourage turning off non-essential electric lights for one hour. Brasserie of Light are leading the way in London with a recognition of Earth Hour so spectacular that we’re bidding them to carry it on for longer than just 60 minutes! The decadent restaurant housed within Selfridges will illuminate your lives with a dining in the dark experience where, for one hour, the lights will switch off and the space will be transformed into one lit strikingly by candlelight.

What’s more, there’ll be live music and performances from LED ballerinas to whisk you away during the evening meal. Finding the light in the dark, Brasserie of Light is the place to be this Saturday.

For those who don’t know, Guilty Pleasures is in fact a booming club that comes with all the “shots, shots, shots,” dance floor shaking and new friends making atmosphere you need! For it’s 15th birthday on the 30th of March there’ll be DJ’s, live performances, cabaret, glitter, oh and a confession booth which we imagine would come in more handy the following day… but we’re not judging!
