Pink is having a moment, or perhaps a couple of moments. It’s sashaying across our Insta feeds in the form of unicorns and pastel washed T’s, and neon signs line eccentric cafés screaming out generation Z slogans. Where pink once just existed as a colour on the varied palette, now it’s associated with the avocado generation… oops, sorry I meant millennial. As a result, the ever-adapting and excitable city that is London has chosen to go with the pink-washed flow, with restaurants, bars and even loos dousing themselves in the popular shade. We’ve delved deeper, donned our pink-coloured glasses and found the places oh so pretty in pink in London.
Annabel’s in Mayfair love being pretty in pink; that’s a given! It’s so easy to imagine Marilyn Monroe pulling up a pew at the bar and sipping on a cocktail or two back in the day. It’s pink, it’s girly, and we honestly can’t get enough. Of course, we can’t promise you’ll be able to snap up a photo of the interiors though as this private members club has seriously strict photography rules but you’ll at least be able to enjoy a snap in their newly refurbed loos.
If you haven’t said “Tonight Matthew” in conversation at some point, are you even a millennial? The venue’s quirky name in fact comes from Napoleon’s first wife, one of history’s most famous lovers, Joséphine de Beauharnais and this can totally be felt inside as the atmosphere emanates a total sexiness. With the interior covered in lashings of glitter you’ll be able to snap the perfect Insta either on the dance floor or off. Sips and serves include Love Potion No. 10, a strawberry-infused Bombay Sapphire gin topped off nicely with prosecco, and ‘soup of the day’ is always champers at pink venue Tonight Josephine!
Seriously if pink is your thing, you’ll love how dreamy Doña is. Doña was an easy inclusion with its dreamy pink hues, sparky jazz club vibes and being hugely female-led. Open Wednesday through to Sunday, the bar specialises in temptingly good Mezcal cocktails, and we can already vouch that our favourite is the Fiorella packed full of Dangerous Don Mezcal, ginger, supasawa, agave, lime wheel and coffee beans.
Élan: it means style, flair and exuberance. It also means smashing it on your socials, because EL&N (which confusingly rebranded from Élan Café) is arguably the most Instagrammable place in town, perhaps due to its insatiable flower and love heart walls. Élan started out on Park Lane and quickly became the influencers’ hangout of choice thanks to more pink than you’ll find in Elton John’s walk-in wardrobe. Seriously. The walls: pink, the floors: pink, the ceiling, yep, slime green. Only kidding. They’re pink too.
Peggy Porschen has seen many an influencer adorn its pink exterior to pose for a quick Insta-snap. The enticing location has an outside as pink as the icing on the cakes, and a vibrancy like no other that goes hand in hand with chilled Champagne and a slice of something sugary. Having just launched their Pumpkins and Pearls Autumn Collection, it’s the perfect time to indulge! Be it a golden apple and chai cake to diamantes and pearls skulls cookies, there’s enough to entice your taste buds.
There’s no doubt about it, a cup of tea really does make everything better. It sits on our work desks pushing us through e-mails, lands in the hands of strangers as we meet for the first time, perches on the lips of friends as we catch up, goes hand-in-hand with our morning cereal bowls and rests on our bed side table with a good book.
If you think tea is simply tea-rrific then you may have caught wind of Mariage Frères in Covent Garden, France’s oldest tea house, sitting snug inside a five-storey Georgian townhouse on King Street. The incredible spot brings tea savoir-faire to the capital alongside the world’s largest tea collection with 1,000 varieties available from 36 different countries.
sketch was inaugurated in 2002 by restaurateur Mourad Mazouz and Masterchef Pierre Gagnaire, as a destination for food, art and music. The ‘pinkness’ of sketch’s main Gallery room doesn’t really need describing. One of the most iconic restaurants in London, if not the world, walking into the room is special in itself. It’s iconic, it’s beautiful and we love it.
This whole bathroom is pink, cor blimey! Brasserie of Light is the sexy bar and resto that marked the final chapter of Selfridges’ £300 million investment in its London store, and with a loo like that we can tell cash was splashed! The chic, Art-Deco offering will have you snapping selfies for hours with interiors we know will end up on our Insta feeds at some point or another.
This one’s pretty suite…
Exceptional food and drink aside, our attention is on The Lanesborough’s lusciously pink suite. Wow! The Hyde Park Corner hotel, known for its Michelin-starred Céleste restaurant, will see you filling your tummies with decadent goods before heading to a suite fit for a princess, prince, queen, king and… well, you get the picture. Recline in sumptuous pink paradise and say goodbye to the world for a while.
One vegan resto we can’t get enough of is Kalifornia Kitchen, and awash with pastel pink interiors, it’s easy to say why… It’s blatant owner and influencer Loui knows how to turn a head or two. Grab yourself a banana blossom ‘fish n chips’, refreshing smoothie and enjoy the ride.
One restaurant that always delivers the goods is Ella Canta. As if the award-winning Mexican cuisine wasn’t enough, Ella Canta raises the bar for killer restaurant interiors. We definitely want to get our hands on that pastel pink sofa for our office.
We’re off to Peckham next, notably to Frank’s Cafe Rooftop Bar that is tickling us pink with its vivacious walls. The stairwell was given a fresh lick of paint by Simon Whybray, back in 2016, and now it’s got a real Baz Luhrmann vibe going on and we rate it! On the bottom floor there’s Peckham Levels bars and restaurants, an ideal spot for a good boogie and top up of delicious food offerings. If you’re up for a good ol’ night out with the promise of a hipster Insta shot then this is the one!
Pink, pink and more pink. That seems to be the overall theme of the new gourmet breakfast eatery EllaMia, debuting at St Martins Lane Hotel and, quite frankly, we’re all on board. Brushed gold accents, subtle floral patterns and dusty pink hues fill the interiors and also transpose into the food and beverage scene also. Seriously, just look at those gorgeous lattes.
It’s probably fairly obvious from this image that Simmons Bar is one pink, pink place. Groovy, mysterious and boasting all things neon, the wow-worthy joint provides cocktails ’till late and a buzzy atmosphere. Located in Soho, it’s a must visit for a starter or ender of an evening. Think cocktails, music, Live DJ’s and Happy Hour. Ooft, sounds like a bit of alright!
Restaurant and cocktail bar Circus is seriously killing it with their cabaret antics every night. As for the pink, make sure you try the baby baby cocktail, a mix of Russian standard vodka, Baileys, orange juice, bubblegum syrup, lemon juice and topped with turquoise foam. Bloomin’ lovely.

The award-winning ice cream shop is plastering itself pink and it the perfect pretty in pink place for Valentine’s Day date. Nuzzled inside Fortnum & Mason, enjoy a dessert of dreams with one of their ice cream sundaes. Of course, you’d be foolish if you weren’t to pop up a cute Insta story of your trip too.
If you loved this then get following @londonispink on insta – we cannot get enough of her life through rose (or pink, should we say) coloured glasses.
