Carnaby Summer Festival
The summer celebrations continue as Carnaby Summer Festival returns to the city with an epic line-up of free live music, giveaways, interactive workshops and offers.
Taking place from 8th until 21st August, expect to be dancing to salsa beats with Conjunto Sabroso as the band perform legendary covers from the likes of Tito Puente, Celia Cruz and Ray Barreto, as well as brilliant blues music from Sister Suzie and The Right Band. Soul heroes Salut Band will also be on hand, performing funk, RnB and soul hits you can’t help but dance along to.
There’ll be plenty of workshops to get involved in, from making your own kokedama to pottery painting and candle making. Plus, a whole series of free giveaways will be handed out to lucky visitors during the two week festival, such as ice cream cups from Korean Dinner Party, piercings from Metal Morphosis and a free KFC burger at Jinjuu.
Expect plenty of great offers and discounts across all of your favourite independent eateries and shops, including cocktails, menus and prize winning options.

Cocktails in the City
Cocktails in the City returns to the capital again this month and if you’re an aperitif appreciator, you’ll want to get your hands on our favourite cocktail: the Chambord Berry Spritz.
Hosted in London’s largest private Georgian garden, Cocktails in the City will be serving up an unforgettable weekend of delicious drinks, live entertainment, workshops, and award-winning street food.
Popping up at the cocktail festival will be Chambord who will be offering their signature serve, as well as giving Londoners the chance to get a free festival-inspired makeover from beauty salon, Iris Avenue. Think lots of glitter, colourful winged eyeliner and more.
It’s the perfect summer drink, it’s a refreshing sparkling blend of Chambord and Prosecco, topped with soda and garnished with fresh mint and raspberry.
How to make the Chambord Berry Spritz at home…
- 3 parts Prosecco
- 2 parts Chambord
- 1 part soda water
- Fresh raspberry and mint (for garnish)
For a berry twist on a classic spritz, fill a wine glass with ice, add Prosecco and Chambord then top with a splash of soda. Garnish with a raspberry and sprig of mint.

Choo Cafe
Ready for the pinkest pop-up of all? Jimmy Choo has launched a pop-up cafe at Harrods this summer and it’s every bit as exciting as it sounds…
Open for a limited season, the cafe is sprinkled with an excess of pink, serving up logo-loaded treats, light bites and JC-dusted coffee. The ultimate place to head if you’re looking to elevate your Insta stories, the space has been transformed with sculptural seating, gold mirrored accents and interiors inspired by the brand’s latest handbag line, the Varenne Avenue Collection.
Expect dishes such as mini Victoria sponge cakes, chocolate-raspberry mousse cubes and strawberry eclairs.

Batch & Bottle’s Summer Haute Hosting Service
Celebrating the launch of their newest pre-batched cocktail flavour, Batch & Bottle are launching a ‘Summer Haute Hosting Service’ in Liberty London this August.
Their brand ambassador Poppy Delevigne and interior design guru Jane Rockett of Rockett St George have put together five different themed interiors edits curated around the summer’s hosting trends and occasions. Each edit will be inspired by one of Batch & Bottle’s cocktails, from Palm Springs nodding to the Monkey Shoulder Old Fashioned to the Never Ending Summer spirit giving off Vodka Rhubarb Cosmo vibes.
Each edit features home accessories perfect for al fresco dinner parties and celebrations. Each purchase of over £50 will include a complimentary bottle of the paired Batch & Bottle cocktail and two glasses from Rockett St George.

Maltesers Dark Presents: Honesty Baked In
Chocolate lovers, listen in. For one day only, Maltesers will be opening a pop-up cake shop in South Kensington to celebrate the launch of Maltesers Dark. Named Honesty Baked In, the bakery will be serving up free cakes that are hand piped with honest messages giving people the chance to get their wildest thoughts off their chest.
Opening up on Wednesday 3rd August, you’ll be able to choose from messages such as ‘I’ve got the ick’ and ‘I don’t want to see another photo of your wedding’ to ‘I watched the next episode without you’. The cakes have been created by 2021 Bake-Off finalist Crystell Pereira so you can expect an indulgent chocolatey number.

The Ice Cream Project by Anya Hindmarch
As if London couldn’t get any more strange, not only did it hit peak high temperatures this week but there’s also a pop-up dedicated to weird and wonderful ice cream flavours.
Created by fashion hero Anya Hindmarch, The Ice Cream Project can be found serving up ice cream and sorbet flavours with a twist. Household names, from condiments to store cupboard essentials, will be inspiring the flavours here. Think Kikkoman soy sauce with sesame; PG Tips infused ice cream; Heinz Mayo with zesty lemon and tangy vinegar; Kellogg’s Coco Pops; and Lyle’s Golden Syrup.

GŎNG Bar x Canaïma Gin and Diplomático Rum
GŎNG Bar has been transformed into a tropical haven this summer, abrim with lush foliage and exciting cocktails waiting to be discovered.
Created in partnership with sustainable, small-batch Latin American spirit brands Canaïma Gin and Diplomático Rum, expect a brilliant blend of unique flavours. The rum cocktails focus on South American flavours in innovative ways, using ingredients such as discarded banana peel syrup and utilising all components of the coconut for the Sueño de Coco cocktail.
Each cocktail sold from the menu will contribute towards the vital work of NGOs in the Amazon including tree planting, reducing food waste, as well as helping to enrich quality of life for local and indigenous communities.

The Barbican Outdoor Cinema
Loved the Barbican Centre’s Our Time on Earth exhibition? Well, the Barbican is launching a week-long outdoor cinema pop-up inspired by the exhibit’s themes.
From Tuesday 23rd until Sunday 28th, they will be screening a selection of feature films that make a profound connection to their settings, from Mothra, the film centred around the Japanese character who must defend the rights of her islanders to Hayao Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke, the war epic between forest spirits and humans.

A Taste of the Ocean
COMO Metropolitan London has launched ‘A Taste of COMO’, a new culinary series of pop-up restaurants inspired by executive chef Ruben Briones’ own foodie journey.
This August’s theme is centred around Briones’ love for cooking with fish, shellfish and crustaceans. He’ll demonstrate his expertise through dishes such as raw oysters with ‘gazpachile’ dressing, daiquiri apple and coriander; crispy calamari bao-guette; and cured citrus monkfish with grapefruit and roasted vegetable salad.

Snow Fairy Pop-Up
Everyone’s favourite Lush product is preparing for a comeback… Londoners will be able to get their hands on the Snow Fairy seasonal range early thanks to their pop-up that lands in Coal Drops Yard this month.
Taking place from Saturday 6th until Sunday 21st, Lush will be launching its first ever vending machine brimming with Snow Fairy products. Expect to be able to get your hands on Lush products 24 hours of the day, including an exclusive access to the festive range before its even launched.

Whispering Angel x Searcys at the Gherkin
Searcys at the Gherkin has launched its summer pop-up in partnership with Cave d’Esclans’ Whispering Angel. The wine brand loved by the likes of Adele and David Beckham has helped transform the restaurant into a summer haven, packed with limited-edition afternoon tea, special menus and DJ nights.
Expect a beautiful installation abrim with angel wings and flowers in every shade of pink, as well as plenty of rosé flowing throughout.

Free bottomless brunch at Como Garden
Take a trip to Italy right here in the capital, with a visit to Como Garden – the Italian restaurant concept from Emerald Hospitality group spearheaded by dynamic entrepreneur duo twins Arian and Alberto Zandi.
To celebrate National Prosecco Day on Saturday 13th August, Como Garden – the high-end Italian tapas restaurant in Kensington – will be treating all their customers to a free bottomless brunch to celebrate Italy’s national drink.
Between 12 and 5pm, those that are paying for a meal at Como Garden will be able to wash it down with the iconic Italian tipple for free for an hour and a half – the perfect accompaniment to an Italian feast.
