Catch a screening of this award-winning foreign film

This film has been winning awards and hearts around the world, and it comes from Payal Kapadia, the first Indian filmmaker to win the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival. A poetic portrait of three women navigating life in Mumbai, the film sees Prabha, a nurse whose absent husband moved abroad shortly after their arranged marriage, Anu, her younger roommate and colleague involved in a clandestine relationship, and the widowed Parvati, to whom Prabha lends a sympathetic ear. The women’s stories, challenges and joys intertwine as Kapadia details the unspoken layers of yearning that weave through life in a bustling nocturnal city.
