London’s Best Bars For A Group Night Out

29th March 2022 | By Lottie Woodrow

London is home to thousands of bars but finding one that has a table for ten available is often hard to come by. Which is why we’ve rounded up the best bars across the city designed with big groups in mind.

Read on to find out where to book your group in.

Bounce

Whether you’re hosting a birthday bash or you just want to level up your next night out with the gang, Bounce is the place to head for a night of gaming, dining and a whole lot of laughter.

The popular ping pong venue has brought their legendary Games Gurus. Designed with groups in mind, Bounce’s Gurus will ensure every guest in your group will be able to get involved in a fun and energetic way. Your table will be filled with bags of banter, oodles of energy and an endless supply of games.

They can tailor bookings to your specific needs, whether people want to run a tournament or split the group into teams.

Circus

There are two types of bars at Circus, the one acrobats balance on and the one we can drink at. The Covent Garden venue serves up sensational Circus performances and equally as good cocktails and dining options.

The stage table hosts mesmerising performances every night, including breath-taking aerial acts to fire-breathing, burlesque, drag and hula-hoopers. You’ll see a variety of unforgettable performances from the likes of international burlesque star Kitty Bang Bang, aerialist Katharine Arnold and world-class hand-balancer Sammy Dinneen.

London Shuffle Club

The home of the supercharged game of shuffleboard in the UK, this Shoreditch hideout is the place to take your group of friends for a night to remember.

Originally played on the decks of transatlantic cruise ships, floor shuffleboard is a game in which two teams of players use long sticks called ‘tangs’ to push discs called ‘biscuits’ along a narrow lane into a scoring triangle at the other end.  As something a little different to try your hand at and bring out your competitive nature, a game of shuffleboard is perfect for celebrating those big birthdays, work wins, or as an excuse to show off your sporting skills!

London Shuffle Club can accommodate groups anywhere between 20 to 420 guests.

Puttshack

Keep the good time rolling and book your clan in for a game or two of putting! And where better to head than Puttshack? It’s the world’s first tech-infused mini-golf experience with four London locations to explore and putt your way around.

Pair the night with a few of their signature cocktails and sharing plates and you’ve got a night of excellent experiences sorted.

The Last Talisman

Located along Bermondsey Street, The Last Talisman is the drinking house and Asian grill to know about. Offering all guests an escape from inner-city life with stylish golden decor, crafted cocktails and sharing plates from the sizzling Asian Grill.

Gibney’s

Located below Richard Corrigan’s Daffodil Mulligan Restaurant on Old Street, Gibney’s is, in our opinion, London’s best Irish bar.

Taking inspiration from the original Gibney’s pub located a few miles outside of Dublin, the bar brings the spirit of Ireland to London through traditional pub grub, plenty of whiskey and Guinness on tap. Head here for a night of catching up or to cheer on your team as you watch the sports.

The Champagne Bar at 116 Pall Mall

Find this hidden gem behind the stunning façade of our Grade-I listed building. It’s been reinvented by Searcys to offer a space to relax with creative cocktails and British bar bites. The menu nods to Searcys’ heritage, offering a selection of Brut, Demi-Sec and Rosé, alongside a list of magnums from the likes of Moët et Chandon, Drappier, and Dom Pérignon.

Whether you’re looking to grab a bite to eat between meetings, entertain clients, or treat your family and friends at the weekend, our Champagne Bar and restaurant provide the perfect setting for entertaining and socialising. Their Jazz nights every Thursday are the perfect night out to enjoy with your friends – £15 for a ticket which includes a glass of wine, beer or soft drink.

London Cabaret Club

For a night of glamour, book your crew in for a night at the London Cabaret Club. Right now, they’ve got a production dedicated to the ‘best of British pop’. Expect to be dancing to 60s favourites including The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, before making your way through the decades to the present day.

Rakes Cafe Bar

East London drinkers, head to Liverpool Street’s hidden gem for a night of cocktails, bar snacks and stunning interiors.

Enjoy the garden-influenced decor in The Front Room – think green banquette seating and pockets of house plants – with a cocktail in tow or for a bigger group, book their secret room, the No.3 for a private gathering.

Crate Brewery

If in doubt, a brewery is always a good place to gather the troops for a night of beer, pizza and laughs. We love Crate Brewery as it’s right on the waterfront. Expect views out over the canal and it’s even home to one of London’s best floating bar-cum-restaurant, Alfred Le Roy.

Unit 7, Queens Yard, Hackney Wick, E9 5EN

The Lighterman

There’s so much to do and see at Coal Drops Yard, but for cocktails and dinner, our number one stop is always The Lighterman. Spread across three floors, the restaurant-turned-bar is home to delicious light lunches and endless cocktails that change regularly with the season. And let’s not forget the wraparound terraces either – great if you want to soak up the early spring-summer rays with your friends.

The Coral Room

If you’re after a more refined night of cocktail trending with your nearest and dearest, The Coral Room is the perfect spot. Hidden inside The Bloomsbury Hotel, the bar is best defined by its signature red interiors and striking display of spirits. Pull up a pew at the bar and order in one of their signature cocktails before losing yourself in the brilliance of the bar’s atmosphere.

Pergola Paddington

When you’re looking for somewhere with space for a huge group, one of the Pergola bar’s is an obvious choice. You’ll always find a table waiting for you there, as well as their signature frose, street food bites and party vibes.

Wyld Club

An eco-conscious late-night venue? Now that’s something we can get on board with! Introducing Hertford Street’s Wyld Club, the new hotspot that’s here to disrupt London’s nightlife scene.

Spanning two rooms with a bar that can’t – and shouldn’t – be missed, the interiors alone are worthy heading here for. Think a giant bejewelled jaguar sitting centrestage… As well the outdoors, home to giant trees and disco balls covering the ceiling making you feel as though you’ve stepped foot in the Amazon, despite still being firmly in London. Wyld is quickly becoming the go-to spot for late night dancing, drinking and is great for big groups.
