Bringing a taste of Italian decadence to London this festive season is Daphne’s. The South Kensington restaurant has been transformed into a bauble heaven, complete with wintry cocktails, cosy interiors and a blazing fireplace. 

Their greenhouse-style dining space has been decked out with baubles aplenty, featuring adorable carousel horses, pretty pinks and snow-covered foliage. 

Created in partnership with Malfy Gin, sip into the winter with special cocktails including the Truffle Martini, made with Malfy Original Gin, Lillet Blanc and truffle oil and the Snow Globe, with Malfy con Arancia Blood Orange Gin, Frangelico, Drambuie and orange bitters.

34 Mayfair

This year 34 Mayfair has done away with its epic bauble installation and instead welcomed a ceiling bursting with red ribbons presents. 

The restaurant has partnered up with Monkey 47 for a season of wintry tipples. Look forward to the likes of Let It Slow, a mix of Monkey 47 Sloe Gin, spiced orange liqueur and Rowan Berry cordial; Black Forest Spritz with Monkey 47 Gin, cacao butter wine, cherry liqueur and bubbles; and Not An Eggnog with Monkey 47 Gin, Baker’s ginger syrup, sweet vermouth, lime juice and egg yolk.

Impressive as always, this is one to bookmark for any festive occasions you have coming up.

The Little Scarlet Door

The Little Scarlet Door will be celebrating its first Christmas in style. This hidden Soho gem is the ultimate party spot, dressed up with glittering trees, pink and sliver ceiling decorations and festive touches throughout the bar. 

Inspired by an NYC loft party, grab a seat at one of their colourful sodas or head downstairs to the basement studio for a boogie.

Miracle at Henrietta Hotel

Everyone’s favourite Christmas pop-up is set to return this month! Experimental Group, the French-born contemporary hospitality group, is bringing the highly popular Miracle phenomenon from the US to Henrietta Hotel.

Now in its fifth year, it is the first – and only – Miracle partner in the UK. The Christmas-themed bar is gaudy and garish, but wildly fun. Prepare to be transported to Christmas past thanks to its nostalgic decor, twinkling lights, candy canes, giant Nutcrackers and tons of tinsel. 

Expect an array of festive cocktails on offer, designed by Experimental Cocktail Club alumni Nico de Soto, including his newest concoction, the ‘Christmapolitan’, a mix of vodka, elderflower, dry vermouth, spiced cranberry sauce, lime, rosemary and an absinthe mist.

The Ivy Chelsea Garden

Never one to hold back on their festive makeovers, The Ivy Chelsea Garden has welcomed the grandest one yet. 

Upon entering the restaurant, you’re immediately greeted with their blow-out exteriors – think giant pine green ribbons dressing the doorway, golden pheasants and monkeys wearing top hats and giant gold mistletoe above the door. 

Inside is just as decked out with festive red, green and gold taking centre stage throughout. Their menus have been given a wintery makeover too in collaboration with Veuve Clicquot, from winter afternoon tea to cocktails dressed to the nines.

Paying homage to the origins of its 9 Conduit Street home – a Grade II* listed building dating back to 1779 – will be London’s most Instagrammable restaurant, Sketch. This year’s theme is a Georgian-era-inspired exhibit, featuring installations from floral artists JamJar Flowers, Figa & Co and Ricky Paul. 

JamJar Flowers has transformed the Reception area, complete with a garland of green spruce, fairy lights and giant scarlet ribbons above the door. Expect plenty of festive wreaths and a candlelit boudoir in the Entrance Hall, home to a lady waiting to go to the Christmas ball. Even her dress is decorated with real pressed and preserved flowers referencing the embroidery of 18th-century artist Mary Delaney. 

While over in the Lecture Room & Library, Ricky Paul has transformed the space to include a giant pegasus, adorned with 2,000 roses, poinsettia’s bells and sparkling foliage encrusted with intricate crystals and feather wings. 

The Glade is home to mesmerising, maximalist chandeliers draped with floral designs from Figa & Co.

The Montague on the Gardens

Imagine you’re anywhere but London when you step inside this alpine-themed ski lodge at The Montague on the Gardens. This festive space has been transformed with fake snow, skis, piste maps, reindeer and strings of fairy lights and lanterns. 

Helping you combat the cold will be mulled wine, hot spiced cider, mugs of steaming hot chocolate cocktails and big woolly rugs to bundle up in.


Coq d’Argent

Bring in the festive season with a little help from Coq d’Argent and their winter pop-up, Lodge d’Argent. 

Their outdoor space has once again been transformed with alpine-inspired cabins. Cosy up and settle in for a night of fine cocktails and wintry-sharing dishes, from fondue to charcuterie boards. 

​​The chalet itself is clad with fairy lights, faux fur blankets and winter foliage, perfect for snapping up a photo for the Insta grid.

Every year Claridge’s enlists a top fashion designer to create a masterpiece, and this year’s tree will be designed by Sandra Choi, Creative Director of Jimmy Choo. 

Named ‘The Diamond’, the tree will pay homage to the heritage of Jimmy Choo and its use of the precious stone. It will be finished with a giant, glittering bow topper – a nod to one of the key design themes of the brand’s winter collection.

The hotel will officially unveil its tree in its lobby on Wednesday 23rd November.

Dalloway Terrace

Bloomsbury’s finest alfresco space has been transformed into a frosty floral hideaway, and you’ll want to book yourself in to experience this beauty. 

Dalloway Terrace has once again been given a seasonal makeover, and this year’s theme is decked out with evergreens, rich reds and white touches. They’ve launched an array of cocktails and dishes to go alongside too, including Caldecott farm free-range bronze turkey with stuffing and all the trimmings.

The Churchill Arms

The Churchill Arms may just bag itself the award for the most Christmassy pub in London, what with the display of multiple Christmas trees featuring over 21,000 fairy lights. Head here for some proper pub grub, a pint and to really soak up the Christmas spirit in all of its glory.

Covent Garden’s much-loved seafood restaurant will be paying homage to some of London’s most iconic theatre productions this Christmas. You’ll be thrust into a world of glamour and heritage as you sip cocktails on their terrace or slurp down oysters. Expect nods to The Lion King, Mary Poppins and The Nutcracker.

The Garden at Corinthia London

Complete with twinkling lights, roaring fireplaces and warming sheep’s wool and alpaca blankets, The Garden at Corinthia London is an Alpine paradise. 

Executive chef André Garret has complemented the cosy-chic feel with an alpine-inspired menu featuring cream of onion soup; warm raclette with new potatoes and winter pickles; rosti with slow-cooked egg; and beef check ‘bourguignon’ with pomme purée.

Following its sell-out success last year, Pergola Paddington has just launched its new festive activation. Named ‘Pergola on the Piste’, the alfresco space will morph into an Alpine-inspired ski lodge. 

Complete with new log walls, mountain scenes, a secluded chairlift, retro ski equipment and Alpine chalets, this is the place to be this winter. Expect plenty of seasonal drinks and menus too, including shot skis, demi-peche and mulled wines and ciders. As well as whole baked camembert, crispy truffle mushrooms and charcuterie.

With preparations for the Christmas season in full swing, Harvey Nichols has welcomed the Christmas spirit with their three-course festive menu. Available from 14th November in their gorgeous Fifth Floor Café, diners can fully enjoy a variety of dishes. For £36 per person, expect mushroom pate with pickled mushrooms served with cornichons and seeded sourdough to pan-fried salmon with watercress puree and purple potatoes in a lemon caper vinaigrette. 

Harvey Nichols does not disappoint when it comes to sweet delights. Indulge in Christmas pudding with crème anglaise and red currants or a spiced mince pie cheesecake. 

All Harvey Nichols locations offer the Christmas Dining menu from 14th November to 24th December, for £36 per person.
