For months, Ryan Murphy’s latest billing has had us on the edge of our seats, as we have eagerly watched the tragic romance of John F. Kennedy and Carolyn Bessette unfold. Following the release of the season finale last week, we have collectively been left with a Love Story-sized hole in our hearts. However, a sequel may be closer than we think. Here is everything we know about season 2 so far.

A new season already in talks

Following the unprecedented success of Love Story, the Hulu drama, which tracked John F. Kennedy and Carolyn Bessette’s ill-fated romance, fans have been left eagerly anticipating a new season. While a sequel hasn’t been officially greenlit, word is that producers are already narrowing down which iconic couple will take centre stage next.

Speaking with Vanity Fair, the showrunner Connor Hines added Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton into the mix, saying “they have a rich intensity.” Meanwhile, fans of the show have put forward names like David Bowie and Iman, David and Victoria Beckham, and even royalty, with many suggesting Prince William and Kate.

The team’s predictions

Love Story has been a hot topic in the office in the wake of last week’s intense finale, with the team unanimously hoping for the speedy arrival of a new season. With so many predictions and rumours flying around with regard to which Hollywood couple will be next to take centre stage, here is who we would like to see on our screens next:

For season 2, I would love to see Ryan Murphy take on British royalty, David and Victoria Beckham. I think a show dedicated to the rise of Posh and Becks would be a truly iconic watch.

Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham would be my top pick. I feel like everyone thinks they know what happened between the two, but are really going off of song lyrics and speculation. It would be really special to bring their story to life. Who would be capable of playing them? That’s a different question.

Jennifer Aniston & Brad Pitt were one of the most iconic 90s couples – I’d love a season focusing on their rise to fame, high-profile careers, and relationship.
