Zendaya And Robert Pattinson Are Teaming Up For New Movie, The Drama
Two of Hollywood’s biggest current stars are set to appear in a film for the first time together. Zendaya, (Dune, Challengers, Euphoria) and Robert Pattinson (Batman, The Devil All the Time, Twilight) are teaming up to star opposite each other in a secretive new project called simply The Drama. Here’s all we know so far:
What do we know so far about The Drama?
Zendaya’s had a big year in cinema this year starring in both the sci-fi blockbuster Dune Part Two, and the sports love triangle drama Challengers, both of which were critically acclaimed performances. Pattinson meanwhile lent his voice acting chops recently to the Studio Ghibli anime The Boy and the Heron, and will also play the central role in Mickey 17 from Parasite director Bong Joon-Ho. So, it’s no wonder then that anything starring both of them is big news.
However, as of right now, we don’t know a huge amount about what their shared project is. We do know that it’s got the intriguing and not hugely descriptive title of The Drama- very open to interpretation. Early reports point to it being a romance movie about a couple (presumably Pattinson and Zendaya’s characters) and how their relationship is altered before their wedding day- and potentially not in a good way.
We also know that it’s directed by Kristoffer Borgli who most recently released the Nicolas Cage led Dream Scenario. The project is being produced for the screen by A24, who interestingly is also working on a romance film starring another power couple Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh.
When will we get to know more, and is there a release date?
It’s still early days, so there’s plenty more info about the film to come, including confirmation of its plot and the rest of its cast, along with a trailer. There’s no window of release date currently, but don’t expect this one until at least late 2025 and potentially even 2026. We’ll keep you up to date, though, with all the latest info on The Drama when it’s announced.
