Winter Candles

If you’re looking to add warmth or ambience to a room, there’s nothing more indulgent than the rich aroma of a designer home fragrance. With cold nights setting in, enrich your surroundings with our pick of the most aromatic and festive scents this season.

Whether you’re hosting the perfect dinner party or simply cosying up on the sofa to binge watch the latest Netflix show, there’s something utterly luxurious about lighting up an expensive smelling winter candle. The hints of bergamot, cinnamon or mandarin wafting through your living room are undeniably atmospheric. Nostalgic notes evoke incredible feelings of comfort and well-being, especially as we draw closer to the Christmas period.

Candles are treats, but also the most beautiful gifts. Knowing this, creators have pushed the boundaries with their designs, in some cases collaborating with talented artists, such as the Polkra x Katie Scott collection. Graphic artist Emma Shipley has also launched the wintry Polar Scented Candle in a beautiful keepsake with a painted majestic polar bear and his Arctic friends. Glassware designer Emma Britton has chosen candles to show off her latest Amber collection, featuring hand designed etched patterns of entwined autumnal oak leaves, ferns and fig halves. As the candle burns evenly down casting a warm amber light, the design is slowly revealed. Once the candle is finished the glass is completely reusable for tea lights or as a pretty tumbler.

There’s no denying our obsession with luxe candles. From the freshness of pine trees or snow-capped mountains to the smokey aromas of log fires or sweet hints of vanilla, the choice has never been more tantalising or decadent.
