After making its debut on Broadway in 2018, the stage show is now coming to the West End opening at The Savoy Theatre in June 2024, and tickets are now on sale!
Based on Tina Fey‘s famous 2004 blockbuster starring Lindsey Lohan and Rachel McAdams, you can expect all the most-loved elements of the film to make their way to the stage. And, while we don’t have much information to go off just yet, here’s what we do know.
What do we know so far?
In a truly fetch PR move, the news was confirmed on October 3rd on the Savoy Theatre’s Instagram with post captioned, “You can sit with us next spring!”
The London show will mirror that of the Broadway offering, which featured an award-winning creative team including writer Tina Fey (30 Rock), composer Jeff Richmond (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), lyricist Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde), plus director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon).
“We’re so excited to bring MEAN GIRLS to London, where everyone already knows what Regina means,” Fey says – and we couldn’t agree more.
