Get in, loser, we’re going to Camden as a Mean Girls-themed afternoon tea comes to the capital. And it’s not like a regular afternoon tea, it’s a cool afternoon tea!

OK enough with the quotes, although it’s near impossible when you’re dealing with one of the most quotable movies of all time, and if you’re under the age of 35, chances are you know a fair few of them.

The aptly named That’s So Fetch tea is being hosted at new Camden spot, DUO and features such delights as the “You can’t sit with us!” cake slice and the Pretty in Pink cocktail.

Try the “Full of secrets” giant meringue lollipop - a hit of chewy marshmallow encased in a crispy raspberry meringue shell. That's why it's so big.

As well as the quote-loaded sweet treats (is butter a carb?), the setup has Instagram written all over it, from the cakes served in a birdcage to cutesy teddies and flowers and a real life Burn Book that you can vent out your frustrations about your own Coach Carr or Ms Norbury.

Also served up will be the “Full of Secrets” giant meringue lollipop – an irresistible hit of sweet chewy marshmallow encased in a crispy raspberry meringue shell – that’s why it’s so big. The pink So Fetch Macaron – best eaten on Wednesdays, we assume, and the Burn Book Cookie.

Wannabe Kadys, Reginas, Karen and Gretchins will also be treated to a selection of meat-filled, veggie and vegan sandwiches, as well as flowing Earl Grey out of a Mean Girls-themed Intagrammable teapot.

A cocktail is included for each guest with cute illustrations from the movie’s most famous scenes – Karen’s “I’m a mouse, duh!” being a favourite.

If you grew up on the teen cult classic, this tea is a summer must-book, especially if you have a birthday or hen party to celebrate with a smaller group than expected due to social distancing. So grab your Plastics, your Mathletes or your Janice and Damiens and book in. There’s a 30 percent chance that you already have.

Tickets for the Mean Girls themed afternoon tea start at £39 and it’s available on Wednesdays (naturally) from 5pm – 7pm, Saturdays from 5.30pm – 7.30pm and Sundays from 4pm – 6pm.
