A Mrs Doubtfire Musical Is Coming To The West End In 2023
Mrs Doubtfire is a film that’s near and dear to our hearts, but now the 1993 comedy classic is being transformed into a musical. Following a remarkable debut in Manchester, the play is set to grace the West End next summer, from May. Led by Tony Award-winning director Jerry Zaks, the Mrs Doubtfire musical seems poised to be the one to watch next year.
The heartwarming antics of Daniel Hillard, aka ‘Mrs Doubtfire’, will be performed at the newly refurbished Shaftesbury Theatre, with Gabriel Vick playing the headlining role of the father who dresses up as a nanny.
The musical will largely follow the plot of the film, wherein divorced dad Daniel “creates the alter ego of Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire in a desperate attempt to stay in his children’s lives”.
Sure to be brimming with witty quips, humorous & bittersweet familial moments, and a whole load of nostalgia, the musical is one not to miss. Tickets to Mrs Doubtfire can be purchased now from various websites.
Mrs Doubtfire will run starting from 12 May 2023, with bookings available until 13 January 2024.
