There are new treatments cropping up all the time in London, but knowing which ones are actually worth booking into is another matter. From radio frequency treatments and lymphatic drainage to floatation therapy, we sent five of our editors to roadtest and review a handful of London’s hottest new beauty and wellness treatments. Here’s how they went…

Fire & Ice Facial

What it is

The clinical Fire & Ice Facial is a speedy skin refresh that leaves your complexion looking smoother, brighter and more awake. Also known as the “Red Carpet Facial,” it’s the sort of treatment people book when they want an instant glow-up before an event or simply need their skin to look a bit more polished.

It works in two parts. First comes the warming resurfacing stage, which helps lift away dead skin and smooth things over. Then the cooling phase steps in to calm everything down, add hydration and leave skin feeling balanced again.

The key ingredients do the heavy lifting here. Glycolic acid and retinol help refine texture and encourage skin turnover, while niacinamide supports a brighter-looking complexion. The soothing phase typically leans on hyaluronic acid, aloe vera and antioxidant-rich botanicals such as green tea and rosemary to help hydrate and comfort the skin.

Our review

I have to admit, I went into this appointment seeking one of those dramatic facial peel treatments I’ve seen trending all over social media. You know, the kind where people seem to have their face flake off like a snake emerging from an old skin? Well, when I arrived at my consultation, my beauty therapist, Roxy, was quick to advise against it, noting that it was not a suitable treatment for my skin, as I have suspected rosacea and don’t experience much acne. While I was slightly surprised – and, to be honest, a little relieved – this kind of expert guidance is exactly what I want from a treatment consultation – not just someone who is going to do exactly what I’ve requested, especially if it might result in more harm than good. So, we settled for a milder alternative.

I’d recommend this treatment for someone looking to refresh their face, without doing anything too drastic.

Natasha, Digital Editor

The Fire & Ice facial is a shorter, less intense treatment which combines a triple cleanse, with a refuracing mask – this is the ‘fire’ – followed by a soothing rejuvenating mask (the ‘ice’). While the fire treatment definitely tingled, which reassured me that it was actually doing something, Roxy prepared me every step of the way, so there was minimal discomfort. The treatment finished with LED light therapy and a range of products, before I enjoyed my complimentary coffee. Post-treatment, I couldn’t stop feeling my face – it was so soft. In the hour or two after, my cheeks did go flushed, but this went down by 3-4 hours later, so it says ‘no downtime required’, but I’d still ideally leave a few hours before any social commitments – this also lets the skin breathe before adding any makeup, etc. In the days following, my makeup has applied beautifully and I can see a real glow.

Lymphatic Drainage Body Sculpting

What it is

This transformative body treatment delivers the full spectrum of lymphatic drainage benefits while simultaneously toning, sculpting, and firming—all within a single powerful session. The innovative therapy masterfully blends time-honoured Ayurvedic traditions with cutting-edge techniques. Rich, therapeutic oils are methodically massaged deep into tissues and strategically applied to the navel centre, activating digestive fire and visibly reducing bloat for a more defined silhouette.

Our review

I’ll admit, I was sceptical. Another body treatment promising to sculpt, tone, and de-bloat. Been there, done that. But Dimple’s signature lymphatic drainage body sculpting treatment isn’t just another wellness trend—it’s a game-changer. It taps into the current obsession with detoxification and body contouring, all without invasive procedures or complicated gadgets.

Let’s be frank: the idea of lying half-naked on a treatment table while someone tackles your wobbly bits isn’t exactly relaxing. I spent the first five minutes wondering if I’d made a huge mistake. But Dimple’s calm, no-judgment energy made it clear—she’s seen it all, and my squidgy thighs weren’t going to shock her.

Once I got over my self-consciousness, the treatment itself was oddly satisfying. Using rhythmic, purposeful movements using both her hands and oddly shaped wooden instruments, Dimple stimulated my lymphatic system, helping to flush out excess fluid and toxins. It was like she was sculpting my body—my stomach has never looked flatter, my legs felt lighter, even my arms less, well, bingo-wing-y. I left feeling like I’d just finished a week-long juice cleanse—minus the hunger pangs and mood swings.

Though what really surprised me was how energised I felt afterwards. The sluggish, post-lunch dip I often battle with. Gone. My skin even had a post-facial glow, except it was my whole body that was treated. Dimple explained it’s all down to improved circulation and reduced inflammation—proof that this treatment isn’t just about aesthetics but feeling genuinely better in your own skin. I’ll be back!

Timexpert SRNS Global Anti-Age Treatment

What it is

The Landmark Spa’s Timexpert SRNS Global Anti-Age treatment is one of the spa’s newest treatments and is designed especially for those between the ages of 35 and 40. Using Germaine de Capuccini products, the treatment is based on epigenetics – simply put, it helps to repair the damage caused by lifestyle and environmental factors.

Our review

The entire treatment was 80 minutes, and initially, I was worried that it would be a bit too long for me (as someone who generally doesn’t book many spa treatments), but the minutes flew by. The treatment consists of basic cleansing, exfoliating and massaging, but each step is painstakingly done. The most fascinating part of the experience was the mix of hot and cold applications. Just when I started to feel too warm, a special cold spoon would be applied gently and used to massage my face, which felt fabulous – it reminded me of cool water lapping against warm rocks. It was instantly refreshing. The massage technique is very gentle but thorough and targets every inch of your face without leaving out the eyes. The final step is a mask that covers your face and eyes (you will be asked if you get claustrophobic or not), but I would definitely recommend choosing the eye coverage as well because it’s wonderfully cooling and it feels instantly anti-inflammatory.

I could see and feel the results of the facial immediately. My skin looked glowy and hydrated and felt more supple and nourished. It felt like I had just gifted my face a month’s worth of rest – would definitely recommend it.

Radio Frequency

Robyn, Managing Director

What it is

Radiofrequency (RF) therapy acts as a natural ‘skin adhesive’—drawing tissues together by stimulating collagen production at multiple dermal depths. While RF technology has been a staple in non-invasive aesthetics for four decades, the LAM Clinic elevates this approach through its distinctive Multi-Modal, Multi-Layered methodology that maximizes results while minimising recovery time.

The journey begins with a comprehensive Hyper-Personalised Consultation where Dr. Uliana Gout conducts a meticulous analysis of facial architecture, skin characteristics, muscular dynamics, medical background, and lifestyle factors. This thorough assessment informs a bespoke, cutting-edge protocol uniquely designed for each individual. Dr Gout’s signature philosophy centres on progressive skin training through refinement—a sophisticated alternative often reducing dependency on more invasive aesthetic interventions like dermal fillers.”

Our review

The clinic’s signature LAM 4-in-1 RF & Collagen Induction harnesses the power of LAM MRF (monopolar radio frequency) and LAM BRF (bipolar radio frequency) using the most powerful 2MHz energy frequency. This translates to two electrode wands being applied in succession to the face using skilled rapid movements whilst a current runs through the skin, coupled with plant-derived exosomes, which are infused using needle-free LAM Electroporation. The experience is actually pretty relaxing – although the wands get hot I didn’t find it in any way unpleasant.

Post-treatment, my skin was flushed red but quickly calmed down and the effects were instantaneous. My jawline felt what I can only describe as snatched. This treatment is recommended in a course of 6 for maximum effect but I would also recommend it as a refinement before a big event. I certainly plan on returning for more!

Floatation Therapy

Natasha, Digital Editor

What it is

Floatation therapy is a unique relaxation method and recovery-style treatment that places you in a sensory deprivation tank filled with skin-temperature water and a high concentration of magnesium-rich Epsom salts. This composition creates effortless floating, giving the sensation of weightlessness. The absence of external stimuli—sound, light, and even the feeling of gravity—allows the mind to enter a deeply meditative state, promoting mental clarity and creativity. Regular sessions are believed to help reduce stress hormones, alleviate chronic pain, and improve sleep quality due to both the sensory deprivation and the transdermal absorption of magnesium.

Our review

I was quite curious going into this treatment. I’d heard of sensory deprivation tanks (most memorably from The Simpsons – if you know, you know) but wasn’t sure if it would actually do anything for me. For context, I don’t meditate, and I wouldn’t describe myself as someone who subscribes to many mindfulness habits – likely to my own detriment. But there’s something about the idea of floating around in a tank of water, completely suspended, that had me intrigued.

On arrival, I was escorted to my dedicated suite, complete with a floatation tank, a robe, a shower, and toiletries to use. The pod itself has very shallow, salty 36-degree water, with an Epsom-like smell. While you can wear a swimsuit for the treatment, they recommend going commando for the full experience. When you climb in, there a relaxing colour-changing light in the pod, which you turn off when you’re comfortable – I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to do this, but after a while I was game and it was very cool. To help you keep track of time, relaxing music plays for 5 minutes at the start and end of your session.

By the end, I had entered a doze-like state and found myself incredibly calm.

Natasha, Digital Editor

It took me about 5-10 minutes to relax into the setup, but by the end, I had entered a doze-like state and found myself incredibly calm. For £80, I’d definitely recommend giving this a go if you’re curious or simply enjoy meditation – I’m not convinced it’s something you’d do weekly, but I really enjoyed the experience of trying something different.

Tri-Body Experience

Ashling, Style & Interiors Editor

What it is

A revolutionary body treatment powered by BODYSTIM® that combines deep muscle heating with contractions to enhance definition and improve skin texture, offering a comprehensive, non-invasive approach to body contouring and skin tightening with no downtime.

Tri-Body integrates three advanced techniques – radio frequency, advanced muscle stimulation, and manual lymphatic drainage – to target stubborn areas of fat that are often resistant to traditional methods.

Our review

As a huge fan of Tarmey’s facial treatments, I was intrigued by her foray into body sculpting. Combining state-of-the-art radio frequency for sculpting, advanced muscle stimulation for toning, and manual lymphatic drainage to improve circulation, this is a treatment worth trying.

Arriving at Tarmey’s renowned skin clinic is akin to entering a chic art gallery, so it instantly feels luxurious. My therapist talks me through every step of this non-invasive treatment. As a runner, my legs are relatively strong, but sadly, with time, they aren’t as firm as they once were, so I opt to have the treatment on my thighs.

First up is the radio frequency. Gliding a small device over my legs, electromagnetic waves heat the deeper layers of the skin. This helps to trigger the production of new collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid for firmer, lifted and sculpted skin. Next, she wraps different-sized bands, each equipped with a thermal sensor, around my thighs. Using RF Diatermocontraction® technology, these sensors deliver electrical body pulses to the muscles, which cause them to contract involuntarily, targeting deep and superficial muscles in the body to tone and tighten whilst also burning fat. This can be set to varying levels. I got up to 3, but other clients have reportedly gone much higher. It depends on what you can take. It’s not painful, just uncomfortable.

Finally – the most relaxing part – is the massage, aka the manual lymphatic drainage. Not only is it soothing, but it also reduces swelling and improves circulation. My legs feel firmer and tingly, in a good I’ve-just-done-a-workout feeling. Six sessions are recommended to see the full benefit, so if you’re looking for that ultimate transformation, book yourself in now.
