London is bursting with hundreds of restaurants and bars that all boast exceptional sky high dining, next level cocktails and breathtaking views overlooking the city. But pints with a view? You can forget it. Until now at least, because the London Eye is launching a pub in a pod!
Arguably London’s most popular tourist destination, the London Eye is a rite of passage when it comes to visiting the city for the first time. Sure you can expect endless queues but isn’t that all part of the fun? This summer, they are set to make the popular attraction even better with the introduction of the pub pod.
Launching Friday 4th June, the London Eye will see one of its pods decked out to replicate the Great British ‘pub experience. Expect the pod to be transformed, adorned with beer pumps, velvet coated benches, bar tables and a fully functioning bar.
While you look out over London’s epic skyline, you’ll be able to enjoy drinks up high.
The launch runs in celebration of the London Eye’s reopening and is in partnership with Beefeater Gin. Become a pub local for half an hour and enjoy two drinks, including Beefeater’s new Peach & Raspberry Gin, craft beers and wine. You’ll even be allowed to take a souvenir enamel gin cup away with you, how fun.
If you grow tired of the views and drinks, there’s a magnetic darts board you can play too. Note that’s magnetic rather than the real deal, we suspect they won’t want the pod shattering from a miscellaneous dart throw that went wrong…
Fancy mixing up your typical pub crawl route this summer? Head to the London Eye website to book you and your pals a spot inside the pub pod.
