As one of our Style Editor’s favourite labels, the excitement levels were high when whispers of a new collection from Queens Of Archive surfaced. Let’s just say she was right to be excited…
As a long time fan, it’s true, I had high expectations for the latest offering from this rock ‘n’ roll fashion brand. Launched back in 2020 by the incredible Nicola Orme and Sarah Plunkett, it was instantly snapped up by the coolest women in fashion and music. Renowned for its ‘70s-inspired dresses, bohemian prints and vintage-style minis, the label has and continues to be a tribute to all the female trailblazers before us. And this latest drop is no exception.
“We are thrilled to unveil ‘Isla de Reinas’ (Island of Queens) – a celebration of the timeless allure of our pieces and the enduring spirit of femininity,” say the founders. “We invite our customers to immerse themselves in the beauty and to embrace their inner queen.”
More colourful than previous collections and yet still achingly cool, Queens Of Archive is bringing Studio 54 vibes to what’s set to be a very striking summer. “The design focus is always to create statement pieces that have to be comfortable,” says designer, Nicola Orme. “For SS24, I wanted to be more experimental with cuts and colours that embrace the warmer months, while keeping to a formula our customers know and love.”
Queens of Archive launches their SS24 Collection ‘Isla de Reinas’, shot in the mesmerising Mallorcan setting by renowned photographer Kate Bellm.
The team enlisted the brilliant photographer, Kate Bellm, to capture the instantly recognisable Queens Of Archive rebellious, sensual vibe. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the bohemian-esque Hotel Corazon in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains of Deiá, Mallorca, the campaign is a love note to hazy days, freedom and long hot summers. Colours are fiery, bold and daring; prints are works of art with intricate hand-painted details. Combined together against blue skies and a sun-soaked rugged landscape, this range of timeless fashion has iconic status running through its threads.
Both the Iris and the Clementine are the perfect summer mini dresses. With a nod to the ’60s with their A-line shapes, they are retro-inspired perfection.
