Rhinestone Party Girls: The Cooler Alternative To Festive Sequins

From cocktail dresses dripping in crystals to mesh tops adorned with rhinestones and those Paris Texas knee-high boots making waves on Instagram, this is a trend perfect for party season. Think of it as the cool girls’ alternative to wearing sequins this season.
Perhaps the coolest trend to work this festive season, rhinestones are back in a big way. On the runways, they were seen everywhere from Saint Laurent to Christopher Esber, Magda Butrym to David Koma and the high street has naturally followed suit, with some excellent options at the likes of Stories, Zara and H&M.
Although evening wear iced with hundreds of twinkling rhinestones sounds a little extra, the trend is actually a far more wearable take on all things shiny that tend to come out at this time of year. The colour palette is mostly black, which lends a cooler, more grown-up feel and it’s an easy look to work into your existing wardrobe – a rhinestone boot teamed with jeans and blazer or a crystal-embellished skirt with a simple, oversized white shirt.
Hailey Beiber takes the classic black blazer dress to new heights with statement crystal-embellished mesh boots. Find a similar, high street priced iterations at Zara.
