As someone who isn’t easily tempted by beauty advent calendars, it takes a lot for me to consider forking out for an alternative to my beloved £3 chocolate advent – either for myself or as a gift. But I have to say, Space NK’s 2023 beauty advent calendar has me second-guessing myself.
For the first time ever, I want to get in on the festive novelty. Why? Because Space NK’s offering is jam-packed with the most exciting beauty brands on the market, with savings to boot.
What’s inside?
The list of names featured in the 2023 offering reads like a beauty hall of fame. On the skincare front, we’re talking all the big names: Dr Barbara Sturm, Augustine Bader, Tatcha, Drunk Elephant, Laneige, Sunday Riley – the list goes on. And the makeup lineup is just as strong, including Charlotte Tilbury, Rare Beauty, Rose Inc, and Hourglass.
Short answer: YES. Of the 33 products included, 19 are full-sized, which works out as great value. The products within the advent calendar come in at over £1000 value, but it retails for just £235 – that’s a saving of £765!
Better yet, the calendar itself is also 100% recyclable and is made from 100% Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified paper, which means it meets strict environmental, social and economic standards.
So, with all that in mind, here are 10 of the most exciting products included in the calendar:
Dr Barbara Sturm is one of the biggest names in skincare, loved by the likes of Victoria Beckham and Gwyneth Paltrow. This gentle foaming cleanser is designed to removing makeup and dead skin, without disturbing your skin’s pH-balance.
Augustinus Bader’s products aren’t cheap – the full-size version of this cream retails for £225 – but they are some of the most lusted-after buys in the beauty space. Hailey Bieber is, according to Melanie Grant, a big fan of The Rich Cream, so you know it’s got to be good.rnu003cbru003eu003ciu003eMini version featured in the calendaru003c/iu003e
Makeup mogul, Charlotte Tilbury, famously delivers stellar, glow-enhancing products and this 4-part bronzed eyeshadow palette is great for on-the-go beauty touch ups.
I’ve tried niacinamide in my skincare routine in the past, with seemingly little results, but Natrium’s formula featuring Zinc has been a gamechanger – I can’t recommend this product enough.
Hourglass makeup has perfected the art of covetable packaging, but what’s inside is just as satisfying. Chances are you’ve heard of (and might already own) its cult-status Veil Translucent Setting Powder, but this refillable lipstick also gets rave reviews.
If you want a lightweight, smooth cleansing balm, this Farmacy option is just the ticket. I’ve tried a handful of different cleansing balms and this is by far my favourite.
Olaplex is the magical formula celebrated by hair experts the world over. If you already love the brand’s No.3 Hair Perfector, why not try the Bond Maintenance Shampoo?rnu003cbru003eu003ciu003eMini version featured in the calendaru003c/iu003e
Sunday Riley’s Vitamin C serum is, arguably, one of the most well known on the market and, while it doesn’t come cheap (the full-size version costs £100), it’s stuck around for a reason: it works.rnu003cbru003eu003ciu003eMini version featured in the calendaru003c/iu003e
