Everything To Know About Stranger Things’ Final Season

After nearly a decade of being one of the biggest shows on Netflix, the Stranger Things saga is coming to an end with its fifth and final season starting this month. The residents of Hawkins will be facing their biggest and most dramatic challenge yet as Eleven, Jim, Joyce and co. try to finally put an end to Vecna and his villainous plans, as well as avoid government forces. With the show being such a pop culture phenomenon, it might be the biggest TV show of the year. Here’s all you need to know.
What is Stranger Things season 5 about?

Set a year after the events of the previous season, which was released in 2022, the fifth season of Stranger Things takes place in 1987, with the kids now older and nearing adulthood. They are still recovering from the opening of the rift gates during the last season, which nearly cost Max (Sadie Sink) her life. The other kids, including Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Will (Noah Schnapp), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) are all determined to once again band together and kill Vecna for good. However, the creature has disappeared and nobody knows what his plans are for the future- except that they can’t be good.
But as they try to discover what he’s up to and search for a path forward, things are made complicated by the fact that the government takes the step to quarantine Hawkins and its inhabitants, and intensifies their efforts to hunt for and capture Eleven, meaning she must go into hiding once again. The anniversary of Will’s disappearance years before is also approaching. It’s all clearly building up to something big, with Netflix teasing that “the final battle is looming”, and the group will have to overcome their personal problems to survive.

Who else stars, and what else do we know?
Netflix has unsurprisingly been keeping a tight lid on further plot details and any leaks of spoilers, so expect plenty of twists and surprises. Other returning cast members include regulars like Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, Maya Hawke as Robin Buckley, and Jamie Campbell Bower as Vecna himself. Newcomers are set to include Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, and Terminator legend Linda Hamilton. Part 1 of Season 5 will release on 26th November, with Part 2 on Christmas Day, and the finale on New Year’s Eve.
