If you love food as much as we do, you’ll already have your eyes on the city’s most exciting summer festival in the calendar – Taste of London. Held from 18th to 22nd June at The Regent’s Park, the festival brings together some of London’s hottest restaurants and chefs in a culinary experience unlike any other. From masterclasses with the very best in the business to wine tastings and foodie conversations, Taste is all about celebrating fabulous food. Here are eight things to look forward to at the festival this year:

In Partnership With Taste of London

1. A line-up of London’s best restaurants

Taste has unveiled a fantastic lineup featuring some of the capital’s buzziest drinking and dining spots. There’s Manzi’s (Soho’s much-loved seafood restaurant), and Eataly has announced its festival debut. Meanwhile, Bébé Bob is bringing rotisserie chicken and caviar to the table. Akira Back will also have a presence with signature Japanese dishes, and Oblix at The Shard will be returning with its signature crispy chicken (a crowd favourite at Taste last summer). Plus, Los Mochis will be serving an entirely gluten, nut and celery-free menu. For the entire restaurant lineup, visit the website.

2. Masterclasses by award-winning chefs

There’s a lot more than just eating at Taste. If you’re looking at elevating your cooking, there will be masterclasses and live demos by 35 chefs, including BAFTA award-winner Big Zuu, Michelin-starred chef Woongchul Park, Great British Menu-winning chef James Cochran, author of the Healthyish cookbook Emma Petersen, John Chantarasak from London’s new favourite spot AngloThai and Michelin-starred Executive Chef at Dosa, Jihun Maxime Kim.

Look forward to learning tips and tricks from some of the most exciting chefs in London today.

3. The Taste Sessions

The Taste Sessions, in partnership with The Royal Parks, focus on sustainability and wellness with a series of intimate talks, tastings and demonstrations.

The sessions will include features from brands such as Inflorescence Wine Tasting, who foster pollinated flowers into wine, Hackney Herbal, who promote wellbeing through herbs, plus Find and Foster, who work to revitalise neglected orchards in Devon.

4. The Taste Fire Pit

Undoubtedly one of the most buzzy parts of the festival is the Taste Fire Pit, where you can attend live masterclasses and flame-fuelled demonstrations, showcasing the boldest flavours and smokiest skills in the game.

This year’s line-up includes many beloved names, including: the chef behind much-loved Roti King, Sugen Gopal; Maslow’s executive chef Tom Cenci; Great British Menu-winning chef James Cochran; Singaporean food expert and founder of Mei Mei London Elizabeth Haigh, Michelin-starred Adam Simmonds; Fazenda’s executive chef Francisco Martinez and co-owners of South Wales’ favourite Mexican street food haunt Bab Haus Mex, Rebecca Goad and Leyli Homayoonfar.

5. The K-Food BBQ Cook School

The flame-fuelled demonstrations at the K-Food BBQ Cook School will see guest appearances from leading Korean chefs, including Dana Choi, Head Chef at Jang and Judy Joo, co-founder of Seoul Bird.

If you love your Korean food as much as your K-pop, this is the place to be.

You can learn insider secrets from the city’s best live fire chefs and get hands-on lessons and tips that are bound to help you up your hosting game at the next BBQ.

6. Produce from artisan brands

There will be a stellar lineup of artisan producers here, including non-alcoholic beer from Tom Holland’s Bero Brewing and gluten-free cookie dough creations from Doughlicious. Belazu Ingredient Company will have an assortment of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern ingredients to browse, and if you love matcha (we know you do), you’ll find PerfectTed here, one of Europe’s leading matcha brands.

7. An immersive coffee corner

For a taste of Italian coffee, illy will be hosting immersive classes where you can learn about the art of creating coffee cocktails and pick up expert tips to enjoy illy the Italian way.

There will be plenty of barista serves, sustainable coffee desserts, coffee cocktails and more for all five days of Taste.
