From toppling pancakes stacked high to late night cocktails in cosy settings, The Little Door & Co has created a brand that’s hard to fault. Inspired by fictional flats, they bring the home to you through comfy corners perfect for first dates and laidback interiors that are reminiscent of your own. This June sees the brand head central, bringing their party vibes to Soho with their new opening the Little Scarlet Door.

The new site opened last week and we’ve been lucky enough to be given the first-peek inside the redeveloped Ilona Rose House. Think exposed brick, industrial finishes and plenty of cocktails to go round.

Taking cues from its sister sites, this Greek Street location is hidden, with only a standalone scarlet red door hinting at its location. Passersby could easily walk past the bar without knowing that eccentric vibes are hidden inside…

The Little Scarlet Door takes inspiration from New York’s iconic loft apartments, nodding to their pared back, industrial interiors, from raw plastered walls and concrete flooring to bare brickwork. But of course, being situated in the heart of Soho, it’s got touches of the vibrant neighbourhood too. Expect leather and plush velvet upholstery and bold colourways of red, pinks, greens and neon.

Following in the other Little Door venues footsteps, Scarlet’s spaces will be multi-functional. The kitchen doubles up as the bar, complete with a scarlet coloured Smeg fridge, sauce-splattered cookbooks and pre-loved plates and glassware. While there’s also the living room, laundry room and breakaway areas great for gossiping with friends or date nights. Grab a book and head to The Nook or catch-up with pals over the Breakfast Table.

Meanwhile downstairs, the house party vibes will come into their own, with the flat’s communal collection of vinyl records, neon signs, kooky pop-art, retro games and bookshelves worth exploring. It’s also available for exclusive hire for those looking for somewhere that’s house party vibes without having to host themselves.

Of course this is a bar so expect plenty of cocktails and DJs pumping out the tunes Wednesday through to Saturday night. Sharing cocktails will be on hand to help you throw a great night out. Served in vases and mixing bowls from the kitchen, sip on the likes of the Little Miss Sunshine, made of Hendricks gin, Reyka vodka, St Germain, apple, rosemary and sage and the La La Land, a mix of 42 Below vodka, raspberry, Martini Rose, Mozart white and vanilla. Expect other signature serves named after your favourite TV shows and movies too.

If you get peckish, light bites and party nibbles will be on hand, from charcuterie boards and mezze plates to toasties, spiced skewers and Vietnamese meatballs.

The ultimate place to host a party, book The Little Scarlet Door to throw your next birthday bash here and you won’t have to worry about cleaning up the mess in the morning.
