The Traitors Series Finale: Who Will Win?

23rd January 2025 | By Rufus Punt

If you’re like us (and millions of others), you’ve been watching The Traitors, the tense, smash-hit game show where the stakes are high and trust is low. There’s only two episodes left (it’s gone fast hasn’t it?), and the question of who will win and who will lose looms. Ahead of the series finale, we’re making some predictions about what will happen to our Faithfuls and our Traitors- so read on before Friday’s episode.

What’s happened so far?

There have been 10 episodes since The Traitors returned to our screens on New Year’s Day, and the 25 contestants who joined host Claudia Winkleman have been whittled down to just six. Four of those remaining are Faithfuls: Alexander, Francesca, Jake and Leanne, while the other two are Traitors: Charlotte and Freddie. This series might be the show’s most thrilling and twisty yet, and last night’s episode once again demonstrated why. Minah, who had been one of the Traitors since the first episode, made her exit, as she was betrayed by Charlotte and banished. Meanwhile, Freddie was also recruited in this episode to become a new Traitor.

Who will win?

Of course, with two episodes to go, it’s all to play for still, but we have a pretty firm prediction of who will end up victorious. The Handbook office is unanimous: we think that Charlotte is most likely to be the winner come the end of the series finale. She’s been scheming away since she was recruited as a Traitor back in episode 8, and certainly seems like she’s in it to win it. She’s certainly been a memorable contestant, with her tactic of using a fake Welsh accent, despite being from London, which she believed would give her an edge as it seemed more “friendly”. She also was the one who sealed Minah’s fate in the most recent episode, proving she’s effective and ruthless.

Our Digital Editor Tash predicted this turn of events before the episode aired: “I think Charlotte is going to win. Unlike Minah, who says she’s hoping both Traitors make it to the final, Charlotte said she doesn’t trust anyone and that she thinks the Faithfuls will need to catch another traitor before the end. It makes sense that Charlotte doesn’t trust Minah, as she doesn’t know what the Traitor’s dynamic was like before she was recruited, but I think she’ll likely throw Minah under the bus and then win the final.”

I think she’ll likely throw Minah under the bus and then win the final – Natasha, Digital Editor.

Meanwhile, our Junior Graphic Designer Imi said, “I think Charlotte is going to win and rat on Minah which is a shame because I really like her and she has done SO well so far. Avoiding her name being spoken about for about seven episodes is actual genius.”

What else do I need to know?

Make sure of course to tune into the penultimate episode tonight, 23rd January to get your next traitors fix. The end of the 2025’s Traitors journey will be broadcast at 20:30 on 24th January on BBC One, with an extended 70-minute episode. But that’s not all: a celebrity version of the UK Traitors is set to arrive on our screens later this year, so watch this space for more info.
