Treat Yourself To One Of These 30 Beach Towels This Summer

29th June 2023 | By Astrid Carter

Accessorise this year’s holiday look with a colour popping beach towel. From a dreamy Celine number to John Lewis’ high street options and a mega Jacquemus sale pick find (for less than £50!), we’ve got you covered whatever your budget.

Whether you’re hitting the Balearic Islands this summer or staying put on British soil with a *fingers crossed* heatwave staycation, make sure your beach or poolside look is next level with one of summer’s hottest items, the statement beach towel.

Everyone has been putting their name to the humble holiday staple this season, from affordable options on the high street to wish list worthy designer picks – if, dropping a couple of hundred on a towel is within your budget.

We’ve edited out our favourites to fill your beach bag with this summer break, and categorised by price to make picking your player easy.

Beach Towels Under £50

Sunnylife’s clever beach towel is so much more than something to dry you off with. It comes printed with a checkerboard and 32 wooden games pieces so you can spend the day playing chess and checkers in the sunshine. Bliss

As much as we’d all love to fill our Loewe basket bag with an Isabel Marant beach towel, the reality is we’d rather save the money for the holiday Aperol budget. Thankfully, the high street has delivered this year with a plethora of chic beach towels under £50.

Check out John Lewis for a Palm Springs inspired botanical option in sea blue and burnt orange or wrap yourself up post-hot tub on a countryside staycation with Anthropologie’s fierce tiger emblazoned number

‌You can never go wrong with stripes for a timeless holiday look. Head to La Redoute or A Day’s March for simple seersucker prints on thick fluffy towels, or John Lewis where they stock indie brand Dock & Bay, whose signature print is the humble stripe. We love the sage green colourway, which is not only made from 100% recycled post-consumer plastic making it a sustainable choice, but is super light, quick-drying and comes with a handy pouch to make packing it in your suitcase easy.

‌And finally, shout has to go to one of the sale finds of the season – a Jacquemus Paisley print towel reduced from £115 to £40. Thank you, Selfrdiges.

Beach Towels Under £100

Instagram star, Lindsay Holland, has channeled her love of travel and surfing into making her own line of the most beautiful beach towels. Enter, The Longing, who make seriously good quality towels at reasonable price points using sustainable materials with second-to-none fluffiness factor. We love the sunshine yellow shade to wrap up in after a sunset swim, but the original white towels are also stunning and will add a luxury edge to your bathroom setup.

Other brands hitting the mid-market price point are Business & Pleasure, whose scalloped edge towels make for the chicest poolside set-up; Soho Home who have made their signature house towels from all over the world available to mere mortals even without a private members’ club account; and Ganni who have created a towel that cleverly rolls up into a top-handle bag. Genius.

Blow The Budget Designer Beach Towels

Up your travel looks with a beach towel fit for the style set with Jacquemus’ burnt orange and retro brown Soleil towel. We love it as a backdrop to a glamorous one-piece swimsuit, vintage sunnies and a silk scarf wrapped around the head.

If monochrome is more your thing, Anine Bing’s monogrammed Bahia towel will add LA cool to your sun lounger, whilst Isabel Marant’s Soverato cotton towel will bring a chic edge to Ibizan bohemian.

Finally, for something playful and fun, Gucci’s cheeky “Gucci s’il vous plait” slogan towel will turn heads around the pool.
